il duce, kman and ledley I hope you are all happy.

Na pa na gamithite :clown: s

Particularly the italian and turkish fans (all 3 of them) that constantly bagged Ellas I will rubbish your sides if they dont go all the way, so go your hardest now.

Good luck to Spain and Croatia, kill the boustithes when you play them in the quarters.

Vyntra played well enough that Seitaridis should consider performing again..

Rehhagel was hopeless again. Fair enough we were playing for nothing...why take out the heart of the team Karagounis? He was brilliant and he was the life in the midfield for us. Then he takes out Kyriakos and puts in Antzas? If he wanted to give Antzas a final run why not take out Dellas?

skliro your an ungratefull spoilt little brat if it wasn't for otto you wouldn't have seen Greece win a cup. Be thankfull we have a trophy. That trophy has made a lot of people sour for their rest of their miserable lives, and that to me is sweet victory

Before you start running your mouth,

Just because we won euro 2004, doesnt mean any of the coaches or players should be excused for poor performance. Otto cost us in this tournament as much as any player did. Hes negativity and formation against Sweden ruined our tournament. Sweden are shit and Otto feared them. We played absolutely dire, ridiculous football. Look at how Russia continuously ripped through the swedish defence this morning. Sweden are nothing and it was a perfect chance for us to start the tournament with 3 points. However 3 points was never even a possibility the way we played- We didnt want to attack!

Otto needs to go, his time has passed. Time to build a new ethniki with some of the young talent coming through in Greece.

By the way - Salpingidis is out of his depths playing for the NT.

I just rerturned from Europe where the Euro is everywhere.
In cafes, pubs etc etc, everyone sitting with a drink in the warm weather enjoying the games. All supporters get along without problem and a great atmosphere it is. Overall great performances and quality. Spain, Portugal, Holland, Croatia all looking good. Turkey with a big win won over many people. Germany, Italy struggling but still through to the 8. Russia over performing, good on Gus.

The Greek TV channel NET has an excellent coverage and very fair. Covering every match live with decent compentary. All highlights and discussions and news on ALL sides fairly and constructive. All Euro from 4pm until 2am daily.

As for Hellas. I believe and it is my view on the matter where under huge pressure to perform. They lost it all on the first match with Sweden. Wrong tactics by King Otto and the players didnt handle the pressure of defending champs. Against Russia they should have got a draw. A disallowed goal and the biggest mistake by a keeper even bigger than Chech when Clooney ran to the corner flag, what was he thinking. Then again the Greeks didnt point the finger at him, others would have cut his head. Against Spain they did well and finally scored.
Yes overall a disappointment, but dont forget they did record the most wins prior to the finals and the squad is set for a decent WC2010 effort. No one really expected a repeat of 2004.

Must comment on the biased comentary by the English comentators on Sentana. Really they are still hurting about no England or any British side in the finals for that matter. During the Greece / Spain game I thought one of them was masturbating over a Spanish player (great player but comments really over the top) and constantly mentioning Liverpool & Arsenal. I thought it was Nations game not a EPL club game.

OPoertugal & Holland look the bnest at this moment. But in football anything can happen as it did in 2004 with Hellas and earlier when Denmark won it.

agreed. Setanta commentry is pissing me off, their daily news program is flooded with EPL movements and gossip etc. Greece should have gone 2-0 up against spain but charisteas missed a one on one by hitting the post. He is only good in the air. Bring on wc2010 for greece.

if history is anything to go by, greece won euro 04, then failed to qualify for world cup 2006, then were the best european team in qualifying for euro 2008, then failed miserably in the finals of euro 2008. Now its time for another positive for qualifying for WC 2010.
