Game of the tournament without a doubt ..
from 2-0 down, and 15 minutes to go ..
and become 3-2 at the end ..
much like manutd vs bayern match in 1998 ..
czech hav themselves to blame

Back to the game though... it was a cracker.

It would have been funny if Czech scored again after the turkish gk got sent off as tuncay was in goal. so he woulda been in goal for the shootouts.

Nah man.....Buffon is good....but Casillas is just that little bit better. Besides Buffon never has to make that many saves, Casillas makes like 10 a game and they're all good.

Yashin or Zamora are the best. If you want overreaction Schmeichel was the king....he'd dive for a ball that was coming straight at him and then roll around 4 or 5 times just to make it seem like the save was better than it was.

Buffon had a highlight reel of howlers on his own against Holland. Every keeper is gonna have a nightmare game and i've seen Reina fluff a few but you have to admit that it has been a while since he's had a wtf? moment.

No,not really,the era of Zoff the Italians were very defensive minded.
I grant you he was a good keeper,but in my opinion
i would have Yashin, Banks,Clemence,Shilton, Schmeichel and
even Jennings ahead of Zoff.
And everyone is entitled to an opinion, i suppose.

I rate Frey very highly

not spectacular, just gets the job done, and hardly ever makes any form of howler where the ball slips through his fingers or something.

put him in a team that has a world class defence, and he'll be rated a lot higher.
