ABE v Campbelltown 17A
Always a good entertaining rivalry at any level.
With friends/enemies amongst teams, there is always something extra in these games.
Good Luck to both teams
GO ABE!!!!!!!!!!!

ABE 0 - 1 Campbelltown
Good game from both teams with both sides having good passages of play and shots at goal. Campbelltown were able to finish one in the second half and hold out the match to give them the win

All in all was a great and entertaining game, Number 10 from Blue Eagles was a clear stand-out as was Scalzi up-front, but couldn't finish their chances. ABE had about 6 chances saved off the line, but it wasn't their day. Some dashing runs by Zamparelli made the Campbelltown defence look shaky, but they stood tall and prevailed in the end. ABE should've won this game but their lack of kicking boots weren't on Sunday. ABE will bounce back from this loss and be more hungry for the re-match.
Blue Eagles have the mentality to beat anyone in the 17A League. They fight hard until the final whistle, but don't take defeat lightly. Their coach Diego Pellegrini was a character on the sideline, swearing in Italian so no-one could understand him, but everyone got the jist.
Well played from Campbelltown, set their season back on track.

Last game was tight, just like it always is between the two teams. ABE didn't deserve to lose.
The return leg is this week and i know for a fact Diego will have his team ready!

High paced game - as one would expect between these two clubs. The first 15 minutes, Campbelltown looked very ordinary and ABE's goal came shortly after this. But the Reds came back and started to get the better of the game going into half time.
A very good equalizer, in the second half, made the game a bit more interesting with Campbelltown looking the more threatening. But then came some very ordinary marking (or lack there of, really) and ABE were gifted the winning goal; even though Campbelltown were looking the more threatening.
The card count was high for both teams and ABE had a player sent off. While Campbelltown had 2 players injured that could not participate anymore after all three subs were used.
All in all, a very good spectacle though.
