Speaking of name changes, The Ghan and Maiwand is one such examples of troubles in the past under two names which is essentially the same club. On the plus side, we haven't heard too much on them having the troubles they had in the past this season.adelaidepie wrote:Totally agree.
This has been a problem for too many years and needs to stop. As you say changing names by what ever way does not count as changing.
Come on SAAFL Show some guts now and deal with problem teams/ supporters.

Obviously Black Eagles are trouble so I have a thought. What if all teams in Div 4 tell the league that they will not play them because they fear for their players? Not 'forfeit' the game but 'refuse' to play them? Would/could this work? At least then if the clubs tell saasl that they are worried about the players well being & "something" happens then you can put the onus back onto the league for not providing a safe environment.

For Sake, the league would say "we will send out an official to spectate, and if there is trouble we will do something about it".
The latest I've heard on the issue is that the league will listen to both sides of the story either tonight or friday night and will make a decision after that.

I remember about 10 years ago clubs talking about using this tactic against Salisbury Villa when they were up to their old tricks. The league said that they wouldn't support the clubs in doing this and each game which would have not been played would have been deemed a forfeit.Fork Sake wrote:Obviously Black Eagles are trouble so I have a thought. I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

Well the results are up on the website and the score stands at 1 : 1 draw....
Is it too early to conclude that nothing has been done? :?

Well, I wish they'd do the draw for the next round of the cup and list the dates and times if the games listed as N/P are to be played on another date.

I heard there was a big pow-wow about this the other night with both clubs being called in. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone know the outcome?
IMO the only report that has any credibility is the refs!

As per my previous post, a decision will be made after both clubs have been spoken to. Seems as though this didn't happen on Wednesday, in which case tonight is the night! Referees report only contained "Match abandoned due to pitch invasion". I think SAASL wanted to hear his account of events as well before doing anything drastic. Hopefully we should know more after tonight.nerdherd wrote:I heard there was a big pow-wow about this the other night with both clubs being called in. Can anyone confirm this? Re: south coast v black eagles abandoned. what now ?
well, after speaking to officials from both clubs today it seems that,
black eagles were suspended today while the league decides their punishment. eagles v aguila was played as a friendly. looks bad for eagles
south coast played and walloped polonia 11-0
