Eto’o head-butts journalist

Post by BAGGIO 15 »

Inter and Milan target Samuel Eto’o has reportedly head-butted a journalist while on international duty with Cameroon.

The incident happened at a Press conference in the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundè.

Eto’o refused to answer questions at the conference to protest against his country’s football federation.

A journalist, Philippe Bony, however, repeatedly asked the Barcelona striker a series of questions, which provoked the 27-year-old’s wrath.

As the meeting ended, Eto’o allegedly went up to Bony, grabbed his neck and head-butted him.

“He hit me very hard on my upper lip. One of my teeth is loose,” said Bony, who also fractured his left hand in the scuffle.

Other players and staff associated with Cameroon quickly confiscated television cameras and mobile phones to stop the fight being broadcast.

The assault has been reported and it is as yet unknown whether Eto’o will be suspended for Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde.

Eto’o is rumoured to want a move away from Barcelona after falling out with some of the club’s players and management.

The former Mallorca attacker scored 16 goals in 18 appearances this year, despite suffering several injuries.

With age comes wisdom, not the case for Eto'o.

I agree holding Man Utd's appearance record over Sir Bobby Charlton speaks for itself.
