A's Asteras 3 - MU Lions 2
B's Asteras 0 - MU Lions 2

From the sidelines probably the one of the best games ive seen and full credit to the Asteras boys for coming from 1 down to get up and take the points. A great game to watch all the way till the end and i extend my apologies to the Asteras club for the last minutes of the game. We all know what happened. Anyway thanks to those who hung around for a few drinks. Respect to your club 8) and best of luck for the rest of the season. Top bunch of guys...

Great to hear the A's get a good result against the Vista boys with a few players missing, just shows the depth that the club has at the moment. I am pretty sure that Maxin's return to the A's from a long stint out would of had something to do with that, it is about time if you ask me. Looking forward to playing with him again, it has been 1 1/2 years since we last played in the same side. Who scored today? PS put one on the board from centre of defence again? Groovechild, I hope you enjoyed catching up with your GF in Melbourne, we are both going to have to fight for our positions when we return.

gleeson would be happy with a point against jets considering how many players they had missing that went over for the juve v melbourne victory game. salisbury inter on absolute fire so far. modbury vista had a few out against raptors and struggled by the sounds of things. downs went 2 nil up and tried to kick the vale off the park, vale kept playing good football and the goals came. lucky for the downs if westies managed to get over the farm in the end. two regular goal scorers for the gardens both firing will see an interesting looking table at the end of round 7. congrats on your under 10's win against ttg football lad

Yes Vista with 4 first team players out this week making it a hard game especially against quality opposition. Vista reserves were again very good even with a few players missing on first team duty due to injuries and are showing we can match it with any one and the game today was by far the toughest test for us and a good test of depth. Also mackem I am aso part of that great win against the gully!

A's ....Elizabeth Downs ( 2 ) Elizabeth Vale ( 5 )
Downs fell away after leading 2-0. Could have been a very high scoring game ie 7-7
but for some good saves and many misses.
Vale deserved winners.

Res.. Elizabeth Downs ( 3 ) Elizabeth Vale ( 1 )
hatrick to Shane McCombie I think.

B's - Payneham Postel 1 v Adelaide Vikings 5
A's - Payneham Postel 1 v Adelaide Vikings 2

A good away win today for both A's & B's. A solid second half performance from the b's to overpower Payneham after a slow start in the first half.
An indifferent game for the A's with a very stop start game dictated by the ref, there seemed to be alot of free kicks given today for small indiscretions which didnt allow the game to flow. We started very well in the first 25-30mins scoring once and creating many chances, we backed off in the last 15 mins of the half allowing Payneham to score from a free kick. 1-1 HT.
A little better in the second half but still not fluent, we scored a nice header with 20 mins to go and held on from there. Payneham were pumped today to beat us and I think threw everything at us, we were not at our best today but still got the 3pts.

P.S - I got a chance to meet the now infamous Bodo today, was as good as the win :D

I can concur with all of that, but given the choice of three points or meeting me you would have preferred three points. The A match referee was poor.

Super Sunday at the Lodge

A's Brahma Lodge 4 v Munno Para 1 (1-1)
B's Brahma Lodge 2 v Munno Para 3 (2-1)
C's Brahma Lodge 3 v Munno Para 2 (2-0)

The Lodge's home ground has never really been a happy hunting ground for Para and with news that both the B's and the A's would be well down on personnel and seeing the all conquering C's surrender a 2-0 lead certainly wasn't a good start.

The Para B's jumped out of the blocks to score a quick goal (and a second that was awarded and then cancelled as the ref used a ridiculous flag waving linesman to change his mind). After about the first 10 minutes however, Para stopped and the Lodge got on top and scored two good goals to go into half time 2-1 up.

The second half started as a bit of an arm wrestle, but Para slowly got on top and enjoyed a larger slice of the possesion and posted a good come from behind win.

The A's started in a similar fashion with Para going 1-0 up early. The first half was a pretty even affair with both sides having some good chances and the Lodge got one back with a good half-volley just before half time.

The second half was a little too "deja vu" with the cup round for Para's liking. Very even second half for about the first half hour, a break through goal for the lodge, and then cue the muppet music. The third goal was a forgettable mistake on a backpass, and the fourth a well taken strike and follow up on a one on one with the keeper on the break after Para were overcommitted up the ground.

A very good win for the Lodge, can't wait for the return leg lads. It is suprising that the Lodge are sitting where they are on the table and one would expect them to climb a few places before the end of the year.

To the bloke in the red hooded jumper and the Scottish bloke in the Celtic shirt, banter and getting stuck into the opposition supporters when you are winning is all good, but I am not sure that you need to continually use the "F" and "C" bombs when there were a lot of young kids around. Disappointing.

With Vale beating the Downs these results, if true, will make the top of Division 1 interesting.

Very physical game as we expected up at the Grove.

Salsibury Inter pumped Bosna 5-1 in A's it was 1 nil at half time Bosna scored to make it 1-1 and then Inter showed their class.

3-1 For inter in the reserves 1 nil for Bosna at half time must say i scored a cracker from 35 meters into the top left :D last 15 inter scored three times.

That is a fair description of the games today. 4-1 may be slightly flattering but Brahma definitely deserving winners in the A's.

As for shouting obscenities, in the first half when you were briefly winning your crowd(one individual in particular) where doing it non stop.
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

I took Ardi to the Hospital, and yes, confirmed COLAAR BONE clean break  Best part was when he was asked by the doctor if he wanted his strip cut to take it off, or if he wanted them to help him take it off as to not ruin the new strip. You wouldnt believe this, but as strong as an ox as he is, and the club man that he is, he said "NO, ill take it off". Needless to say that he was squealing like a pig as they were doing it
Poor bloke, great President, great Person, with a BIG RAPTOR heart :D
All the best Ardi 8)

As for the game, couldnt tell you much since i wa at St Andrews hospital with the Prez, but we got the messages flying through after the boys disposed of Vista in the same fashion as they did the Sthrn Knights last week. Spoke to committee member after the game, and PS didnt score form the back there, but heard he had a ripper game and did a Hammy towards the end of the game. Looks like another week without the same starting 11. Great depth at the club, to have had you and Sacred june out, with a couple of others, and to back up last weeks win is a wonderful thing for the club.

Its taken you blokes a few weeks to get into your stride and learn the coaches formation and game plan, but your starting to put it together, and looking very very good for the rest of the season. Will be hard for the coach to not field the same team next week, but i guess one of you have to come in since he may well be out with his Hammy injury depending how bad it is.

Wellcome to Maxin i hear, had a pearler of a game as well according to the committee member who rang me, Bravo mate, wellcome back
