Div 2 Sat round 7

Post by ramosrules »

Big round this weekend in Div 2, the two games of the round have to be.
Villa vs Cove.
Both team in the middle of good runs with Villa marching up the table and Cove banging in 16 yes thats sixteen goals in their last two games, both teams still a little of the top team Sturt so its a must win to keep tabs on the table toppers. Having played both teams in the last three weeks i would say Villa will take it out in a very close one.

Flinders vs FC Adelaide
2nd vs 4th, this game is a must win for both teams, with 3 points seperating 2nd to 5th this could see either team drop down the ladder and fall off the pace with the top teams. Adelaide still undefeated in div 2. I play for Flinders so you know my tip for this game.

Other games see Sturt having an awkward trip to hahndorf, Monarchs travelling to a feisty Cougars, Hawks trying to get their season back on track with a home game against Breakers and lastly Budapest travelling to inconsistent Adelaide Uni.
Sturt, Monarchs, Breakers and Budapest are my tips.

Looking forward to it Ramos! It will be good to watch a tripple header with our A's, B's and C's all playing off at your home ground.

I'm tipping the game to go the other way though :D

Budapest to beat Adel Uni
Adel Villa close over Cove FC
Flinders v FC Adelaide-too close to call- draw.
Sturt easy over Hahndorf- although may have lost Piotrowski-done hammy against us on saturday!
Monarchs to thrash the Cougars
MA Hawks just over Southern Breakers.

We haven't played them yet, wonder if he will still be out against us.

Sturt 4-1 over Hahndorf
Monarchs at least by 4 against Cougars

Have you guys played the Cove yet, any idea's on there reserves, I sent a scout out there on Saturday but I think he went to far when he hit the South Pole so he turned around and headed back to Munno Para

Our A's had to play a prelim cup round so we couldn't drop anyone down even if we wanted to :D we did have a guy rock up to training a couple of weeks ago that probably would have sat on the bench us but couldn't make it on the sunday, he probably played midfield, hes a decent player that would have improved the team, good control and vision. Also when the B's played you guys a few weeks ago the coach quit at half time, but not before he subbed our best player in the first half. Not that thats an excuse you guys were better that day.
As for Cove B's I think they are the best team ive seen our B's play, the completely outplayed us, although flinders were having a shocker of a day, should be a good close game.

Does not matter whether he plays or not. You are good enough to beat them. Use your tall strikers to your advantage and keep possession. They play very well counter-attack soccer and like swinging crosses in from either side to a persuing attacker. Defence must be tight, but on the same token, their defence is nothing special. Might have a problem dealing with your olympic pole-vaulters up front. Good luck in coming weeks. :)

Cove 2 v Adelaide Villa 2 (2-1)

Very good contest that was spoilt by the referee. Villa had 9 players booked with one being sent off in a game that was played in great spirit. Villa went in at half time 2 nil up and in control but full credit to the Cove for a second half fight back and an equalizer with the last kick of the day. Enjoyed a beer and a chat with the Cove boys after the game and look forward to the second round clash when we can repay the hospitality. Cheers to Paul and it was nice to catch up after all these years.

Go The Green And Gold.
