Re: Open School Knock Out Football
Seaview has kept the better players from last year's team and have added a couple of gooduns to boot. Mind you, I'm not sure you lot need to be scared but the lad's looking forward to it
What is it with kids in this age group not wanting to play football (or anything else)? Blind Freddy with bad breath can get a year 8 team together but as the kids get older, it gets harder and harder.
Bugga, I'm showing my age aren't I

Glenunga will host Seaview and Henley in the first round open group stage knk out. Henley should get through quite easily.
Re: Open School Knock Out Football
yes the usual schools are favourites by the looks, surprising to see if the saturday morning competition makes a difference?
only one unbeaten team in 8 soccer last year...ive heard underdale are up there aswell.. can anyone give us a rundown on them?

Dunno about that. My mail is that Seaview's team is pretty strong. There might be a dark horse in the field boysKing Ledley wrote:I agreedavidvilla wrote:Glenunga will host Seaview and Henley in the first round open group stage knk out. Henley should get through quite easily.
this post gives me an excuse to give the lad hell if they lose

Don't get too cocky. The only player in the team who doesn't play club football has just migrated from BrazilKing Ledley wrote:and since when has Seaview been good....but then it is school soccer and anything can happen
Mind you, there are a couple of 'stars' in the 'team' so it may not be a team on the day.
It only school football. As long as the kids have fun and the games are hard and clean. I'm pretty sure the lad hasn't put our sheep station up as a prize

Pool 2
Seaview 6 - Aberfoyle Park 2
3-0 at half time so the second half must have been busy. Game played at Seaview as the grounds at Aberfoyle were a bit daggy after the rain.

Re: Open School Knock Out Football
So the lad finishes training tonight (club), and is seen deep in conversation with the assistant coach - turns out he's the Glenunga coach
One of his team mates played for Aberfoyle Park today.
Small world ain't it.

St Pauls College 9 - 1 Sacred Heart College
great win for St Pauls dominated from the start S.H.C scored late as a concelation goal as S.P.C had great defending all gamee they could of bagged an extra 5 or 6 to tell yuou the truth.
