We at Beograd are definitely interested in playing some night matches... Our ground is one of the best lit pitches in Super League (White City home ground). The last I heard, our president will be speaking to the officials about organising something.

Cove wanted to play us (flinders) on a fri night but our coach didn't want to. I much prefer playing under lights but the pitch has to be very well lit. We played Southern Knights and Noarlunga under lights in pre-season and those lights weren't up to scratch for a game worth 3 points.

the friday night game at ttg against raptors was indeed a success (except the result),i know the players from ttg were certainly happy to play on the friday.but this wasnt a one off,i would like to try and organise another 3 or 4 friday night games.we chose the round against raptors to free up mums day on the sunday. im happy for any clubs interested in playing there away fixture against TTG on a friday night to PM me or GULLY BOYZ and we will see what can be arranged.

I think for Sunday teams it makes more sense to play a Saturday night game rather than Friday so you can still train normal nights, bringing a game 2 nights before may affect some teams depending on their training schedule. I personally would love to play Saturday night games as long as lights are good, its always a good atmosphere under lights

Just a thought that might interest Hawkesy...
Although Friday Night games are good for promotion and opportunity for players to view other teams.
Surely it is environmentally negative. Using extra electricity to play a game that would normally be played
in daylight ?

Could also give the players more time to be with their families on the weekend.
It'd give Hawkesy more time to get drunk. Apparently he hasn't had a beer since last tuesday.

I had a couple last night after training. :D

I would suggest that with the extra players that are not at home with their lights on and are instead at a football ground with their lights on. The results would cancel themselves out. PLUS, if global warming is the concern. Well beer comes out of the fridge and out into the environment. Beer is cold and when it comes into their air it would naturally have a cooling down process to the air around it. Therefore, negating the effects of global warming.

In conclusion, Night games are actually good for the environment!!

I'll probably pop along, unless I had out straight from work. I'll talk to you in the week, maybe see you there.

Forget Vista, the Brad French Cup has got to be the game. Gully v Inter would be huge!! Dont tell me its an Inter home game next though cause I really wanted to see this match.

FORGET VISTA? Said like a true outsider Jay. Anyone that is or has been involved in either club know that regardless of league standings, these fixtures are always a spectacle. Agreed that the Gully v Inter game is also worthy but nothing and I mean nothing would beat a Gully v Vista match under lights.
