Refs Won Scudetto For Inter – De Rossi

Daniele De Rossi has launched a venomous attack against Scudetto winners Inter, saying that it was the referees who won them the championship.
The Serie A season has been littered full of refereeing controversies and mistakes, with many of these seemingly favouring Inter.

Back in February the Gazzetta dello Sport printed a revised table of where teams would be if it hadn’t been for officiating errors, and Inter were found to have obtained eight points more than they should have.

“I may be bitter, but I will not forget that in the two months when Inter had the most difficulties, they won the way everyone saw,” roared De Rossi.

“I did not want to say this before the last game because I didn’t like to further charge up the decisive Sunday, but those are my views on this season.”

Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic has branded those who are against Inter as haters, although he did compliment Roma for their Serie A campaign.

“I thank Stankovic, but it’s easy to give compliments when you win. It’s more difficult for me to compliment them, especially with the way they won it,” concluded De Rossi in no uncertain terms.

This outburst from De Rossi will undoubtedly spark another war of words between Roma and Inter.

Roma never deserved the title. Yes they had a great year but just starting to sound like the joke their club is now.

Do they not have a code of conduct , that places fines on people for bringing the game into disrepute ?

If Serie A is trying to look after their image and these sorts of claims are made repeatedly then surely they must take some action.

The red was a clear send off, but the ref got scared or cheated, most likely scared, but the call has to be made if it is there.

How many bad penalty decisions were given to prop you guys up, Penalties galore?
Your 11 point lead should of been a 6 point deficit to Roma by the last game, that's if you have the ability to look at those situations and be honest. I accept it happens in football, but for people to discount it is just show's some lack the ability to see past the passion of folowing a side. I was able to look at decisions that went juve's way and say they were wrong but some on here wear blinkers.

I for one HONESTLY think it was... yess so some decisions went for us, but no doubt some games were harsh on us aswell... no different than any other team - the real difference is that when these things happen to inter, the billion eyes which are on them trying to catch them 'cheating,' suddenly awaken...

Inter blew everyone away early with their good form, Roma caught up with their sound run... they both had good spells at different times which made for an interesting title... the 4-1 win at the Olimpico remains a favourite... really does...

Yet you claim Juve were victims in calciopoli

You must be taking Inter's win badly Baggio, the brain must be shutting down if you think Inter received 17 points worth of favourable decisions from the ref.

Roma lost the championship by not beating us, even so had they taken their chances against Livorno they would have been in front going into the last round, that's without mentioning the other losses along the way.

Nothing else comes into it, for every decision you can dream up that went Inter's way, I'm sure I could easily justify the ref's decision (Couto "accidental" handball when making a goal line clearance) or point to a decision that went against us elsewhere. The farce that was calciopoli, where referees made influential calls non stop until the result was achieved no longer exists......for now anyway.

Lot's of reason for Inter supporters to be cocky, we were far from our best this year yet still won the championship, we can't help but be optimistic for next year as well. It's all too easy when your not playing against 12

This is true Baggio, the only difference now to 5 years ago is that all eyes are on Inter not Juventus...

One thing is for sure, I can't WAIT for next season... no doubt Juve will be improved, hopefully Fiorentina hold their side together and continue to improve, Roma and ESPECIALLY Milan will be chasing for the title again... and then everyone's no doubt wanting to kill Inter...

I wont accept Inter winning any title. How can their president be happy after every year if all you hear from Moratti is: "We should have won this and be handed that...". (which he has been saying consistently for the past 3 years.)

If you look closely in all Inter games on La Giostra dei Gol. You will notice that when the camera cuts to Moratti, there is a red glow on his left shoulder. This glow is the devil himself. It's the same reason whenever you take a flash photo of Moratti he is invisible in the shot, he is a demon, a jackal tearing at the soft underbelly of Serie A.

Next season will be awesome. Milan have made it known that next season they are chasing the title and going to win UEFA as it comes. We are signing 6-7 new players and Serginho, Cafu, among a few older players are cut. Alexandre Pato gets to start firing from the start of the season and we can welcome Flamini, and 3 new defenders, 1 new Goalkeeper in Hugo Lloris, a new midfielder and a new forward at least.
