Lack of Quality Players in the U14C Division

Post by liverpool09 »

Under 14C teams lack of quality players has seen the Salisbury Team not loose a game so far this season. This side has come from E & D with only 2 new players who have played Federation before. Something must be done when a side is dominating so early in the season like this side has done. Goals 53 scored and 4 against from 6 games. Does anybody have any views on this topic

That would happen if the ffsa got of there hands and reconized other association tables where these kids finished last 2 years, also U17s havent lost game but still ffsa wont let this side go up even though this side has been together for a long time before entering ffsa

dont wait for the ffsa to do something about it ,, get off your own hands and play the lads up a level in your under 15 and under 19 teams respectively ,, you can do this from next week on.

if there isnt room for the whole teams to move up ,, rotate your players so they get a taste playing at the higher level.

if you cant do this ,, be patient ,, both your 14's and 17's will play at a higher level next year , for now they'll have to wait and show how good they are in the ffsa junior cup comp

Both teams were knocked out of the cup in the first round...the Under 14's lost on penalties to Western Strikers b's.

what a joke who gives a rats where they finished in the last 2 years if the players had left to other teams the side would not be the same would it, but you want them to play and get smashed it happens time and time again with various sides.

the teams not going well in any entry division should get going and work harder thats what we all have to do, so if you have seniors ask them for help.
If the top sides are coached better, trained better and reaps the rewards, good luck to them, next year they can be graded to a higher division.

New boot I think you misread liverpool09's complaint....it seems these teams have been dominating their respective leagues and he thinks that FFSA should take into account where they finished in E&D....I think that any team new to the league should have to prove themselves and work their way up as West Adelaide are having to do in the seniors....the fact that they got knocked out first round of the Cup would indicate that they have plenty of work to do and it will not hurt them to have one season in the C's....why should a team that earnt their way into the B's have to make way for a new team?

There you go, you tempted the football Gods and with their help Sturt gave you a good run 0-0 at Salisbury

Methinks Salisbury doth have tickets on themselves.

To put things into a clearer perspective, you could have mentioned that of those 53 goals, 34 came in just two matches (Pirates & Lions).

A look at the U14C table would show that the comp is not quite as one-sided as the original post would suggest.

I believe that the growing pains that Beverley are experiencing have been discussed in detail elsewhere. From a couple of people I know with connections to the Pirates, their 14C squad is in a similar predicament and has quite a few U12 and U13s playing up.

It ain't a perfect world.

GM, do not label the whole club based on one young person's comments, I agree with the other guys that have said the team needs to work it way up from the start when they enter, the coaches can shift players aound give them additional challenges if they are dominating too much during games, score with your non-preffered foot etc, maybe not against Sturt though

No harm Holly, should it have been raised at all, if you view it the way most teams will is that they have had a good start and yes they have work to do but asking about last season is like asking about sour milk.
If any side had all the success last year good for them, but to grade them higher is a joke for them and as you state for the guy's that earned the right to go up.

one can only assume the people complaining are the one's getting beaten, but as you see they are being tested each week.

lets see if they have the points at the end of the year and if so get the book ready you can pin some tickets on em

GM do these sides who get big scores against them have fresh keepers to keep the kids morale up or get changed at least :?: maybe the strikers could help feel the pain.

That I don't know. I'm fortunate that my boy plays for a different team in the U14B's and we are sitting pretty at the moment.

One of the Pirates U14C players is in our school U13 side which I coach  (we play in the NWJSA comp) and I tried to get his views on the whole thing at practice this evening - but you know what these 12 and 13 years olds are like at communication
