I switched the volume off and have the bbc radio commentary on instead. Much betterolympiakos wrote:thats how it sounds on sbs, he is woeful as a commentator
Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
How about when Pompey played a ball over the top to Nugent and Basheer called 'heres McPhail'...even though McPhail plays for Cardiff.
Bosnich said 'lets get back to the action' about 20 times.

As soon as they crossed to basheer before the game kicked off saying he was the commentator I muted the tv and put the radio on, so I missed his and Bosnich's commentary

Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
Bosnich sometimes appears on Setanta's Football Matters and Friday Football Show and hasn't been to bad on those, but I guess commentating on a game that's happening in front of you is a different kettle of fish.
Perhaps Martyn Tyler had got a better offer

Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
Basheer said last night that he will be at Moscow on Wed. ihope hes not commentating on that. That Mcphail comment was a joke and i think he must be getting a % of Ramsey's signing fee, they were telling us much a change he had made before he had even controlledthe ball (first two times he touched ithe fucked up).
He does the host (les murray) job well. He's not a commentator.

he's ok, just talks too much tactics, that's not allowed in English football

Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
Im not sure about all these new 'ex player' commentators doing the AFL.
Although they got to be better than Quatermaine. He seems to want to be the first to say "That seals it" every game and to make things worst theres usually about 20 minutes to go. The guys a glory hunting twat.

Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
he was ok and funny sometimes, much better than those idiots at fox *cought slater awfull.
His commentating on cardiffs keeper i thought was good which confirmed my suspicions about him, he will cost you a game, or two or three.
having ex players especially as good as bosnich is a good idea, same for afl etc..

Especially ones who tell you what they are really thinking, Bosnich certainly wasnt out to make friends.joker wrote:he was ok and funny sometimes, much better than those idiots at fox *cought slater awfull.

i guess its something different, but he just keeps interuppting, it sounds like u are listening to someone who is having a drink (or a few lines) and watching a game, dont get me wrong i love bosnich but as a commentator? not sure about that

Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
sorry i missed his call now, sounds like a laugh. he probably was off his head. some ex players are woeful, but two of the best i've seen on tv are ex players; gary lineker and ian wright do a great job in front of the camera in the uk, but commentating is different i suppose. for the record, spencer prior does my effin head in, its hard to figure out which one's using the brain cell when him and robbie crap on to waste time. and whoever was co-commentating chelsea bolton on sunday night grates like fingernails on a blackboard. i think it was winterburn. sounds like he's squeezing out a shite.
Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
there both useless commentators, basheer needs to put some glasses on and bosnich well, he just no good.

Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
The commentary was terrible, too busy talking over each other to commentate game, Bosnich went on too long all night.Bodø Glimt wrote:I switched the volume off and have the bbc radio commentary on instead. Much betterolympiakos wrote:thats how it sounds on sbs, he is woeful as a commentator
Why couldn't we have Martin Tyler?
Re: Bosnich still on drugs?
Yeah i was thinkin Bosnich was still on drugs too, dribbled on bout the same shit all night. Kept saying, 'This is the man Portsmouth need on the ball' referrring to Krancjar. Wanted Portsmouth to bring Baros on inside 20 minutes too. And Basheer is shite too, i cant stand Australian commentators on football, but he will prob do champions league final! DOH!
