Man City Where too Now?

Post by ozzie owl »

Well where too now?

The owner will sack Svenn and start another revolving door policy.

Think the players are pretty pissed off losing Svenn.

Sven to Italy as well

you heard it here first

Claudio Lotito sounding him out for a Lazio return

although IMO he would be a good fit for Inter

svens apparantly already in talks with benfica.

mourinho is target no.1 but i think scolari whos no.2 will come on board and sign up ronaldinho
thaksin will get off his conspiracy charges and the only way to get the fans back on side is to spend, spend , spend

we've got our sugar daddy, this was year no. 1 with his money, remember chelski boys where were chelsea before harding then abramovich??

man city doesnt need to lose any players, they have a great squad, theyre gona need a manager who can get that lil bit more than what errikson did. he will be hard to replace tho.

But not as big as Liverpool's demolition of Besiktas.

why not give sven the chance to get that little bit more from the side, after all, they were players sven signed, and he hasnt had a terrible year at all.

man city would only be taking a backwards step.

Fulham might get a spot in Europe now for the fair play spot as Dunne getting sent off might have cost Man City this place. bad week for City :? club always shoots itself in the foot

no i think City should still be safe for europe, i read that we were about 10 points in front before the game, i think you lose 6 for a send off.

i kno, and you are right. im just sayin from a perspective that sven is gone (which seems very likely). that they will have to find a bloody good manager to increase what sven did. but in all id rather see him stay.

It's annoying when owner's with cash and no sense demand instant success.

Sven made some clever purchases and no doubt had a few more in mind to build the squad.
Sacking him shows how little the owner knows about the game.
I think this affected the player's performance agianst Middlesbrough.

Man City's poor form since January coincided with Micah Richards injury - now there's a surprise.
Richard Dunne nmay have the moutainous heart for the game but it is clear he is beyond his depth marshalling the defence on his own. Little support from full backs make it worse. I thought Man City could have bought 3 good defenders and this would have pushed them 5 places higher. Cracking the top 4 is another matter.

GK, Midfield and Attack look good IMO.

not sure if i agree drusetta. joe hart worth persevering with. not sure about svens 4-4-1-1, not enough goals from main striker, elano brilliant in patches but not enuff patches. petrov brilliant, haman very impressive but gettin on, ireland??( need class right midfield). dunne, micah great.ball very underatted works well with petrov.onouhu ??dont get enough out of the right hand side. premier league sides need 2 strong goal scorers imho and we dont have any. in saying all that sven harshly dealt with by a boss who probably believes he can get some worldwide fame outta his new toy  sad the way club ownership has gone

Fair comments - definitely need several reliable out and out goalscorers. Goalscoring midfielders we have. holding midfielders? Hamann is getting on. I just think if you concede too many goals...twice, then there is a serious defensive problem. There have been very, very few examples where a team goes down to 10 men, or even 9 and conceded that many goals. that's why I think their heart wasn't in it after Sven was harshly dealt with by what you rightly point out is an owner with his toy.

Looking forward to next season...

not sure if thaskin has said anything apart from that re will review sven's performance at the end of year - i think the jurono's have had a field day with this. it may just all blow over.

need another striker, hopefully bojinov will be back to full fitness next year, sturidge another year older. deffo need an attacking midfielder with grunt, a gerrard type but who doesnt. i think hamman is too old for next year so cover needed there. right winger and a world class left back.

at least its never dull tho.
