I think that nickname is going to stick for poor Captain Fat Ass. He is one of the best defenders going around in the league.

Lets hope he plays well again tomorrow.

Their are a lot of players very pissed off with the contribution that was put in on sunday. Please be assured everyone will be putting there hand up for an extremly hard week on the track and even harder TEAM performance on the weekend. If it has anything to do with me the DOWNS WILLLLLL be 100% ready to play HARD, FAIR football. GOOD LUCK.
Yeh there doesn't appear to be too many confident of the Downs to get up eh ?
Seems fairly quiet at AR-GONNA PARK this week.

To be honest, it's hard to tell at this stage.
On the surface it appears that Ingle Farm have the upper hand having won all of their 4 games so far.
Having said that, apart from the Vale game, West Beach, USC Lions and P.H East were the teams that most
predicted would be holding Division 1 up this year.
Downs have faced Florina comfortably and struggled against Parafield, Para Hills West, Pontians teams that many picked along with Farm that would be setting the pace in Division 1.
That's why I believe this game will define, to a degree, how both teams will go in 2008.
Much depends on how the Downs react and recover from last week !

To me Downs looked to be a very similar srength side compared to the last two years. I can't see them dropping too many more points if they continue to play like that.

The Downs have already dropped 9 points from 5 games, that's got to hurt them !
Surprisingly yesterday there didn't seem to be a lot of midfield action, mostly end to end play !
