Sunday Div 3 Round 5

Post by TheBucket »

New round, some more big games that may really shake up the table. Lets hear your thoughts, unless of course they have nothing to do with the thread title. In that case p iss off. Your racist angst is not welcome here.

Blue Eagles v San Marco: Both teams will be desperate for a win to avoid slipping further out of touch. Blue Eagles at home. 2-1
El Salvador v Munno Para: El Salvador have obviously been struggling, but are usually a better team with more numbers at home.
But Para will be too strong. 4-0
Payneham Postel v Macedonia: Tough one to call looking at previous results. Should be tight. PPU 1 Macedonia 0
Brahma Lodge v Asteras: Should be a cracker. Big test for Asteras against the draw specialists. Brahma at home 3-2
Plympton v Vikings: Should be another cracker. Vikings have been going along nicely but Plympton are tough to beat at home. 2-2

Blue Eagles v San Marco: this will probably be a scrappy and hard game with both teams desperate for a win, i am predicting a San Marco victory 4-2.
Munno Para easy in this game against El Salvador 5-1
Payneham Postel v Macedonia: to hard to call, 1-1
Brahma Lodge v Asteras: Brahma to bring Asteras back to earth with a 2-0 win
Plympton v Vikings: Vikings 1-0 in what should be a good contest

Blue Eagles v San Marco - Havnt played BE but ill go a draw at 3 each in the azzuri derby.
Munno Para v El Salv - Easy for Para but the Salvos will take some points one day if they survive. 5-1
PPU v MU Lions - Well i got a scotch on this one if the Big G accepts but we will win. 0-2
Brahma v Asteras - Brahma to strong and hard and will win. 3-1
Plympton v Vikings - Ill tip Eric and co for this one. 1-2

Good topic The Bucket, and well said, lets hope it stays on track!

Blue Eagles v San Marco - San marco started well, whats happened since? I'll go draw, they are always capable of playing good football.
Munno Para v El Salv - Surely Goldie can even get a gig this game. Para to smash em
PPU v MU Lions - PPU at home
Brahma v Asteras - Brahma with hopefully atleast 1 of their strikers back can hold on for a win. Defence will need to be on song.
Plympton v Vikings - Plympton always a task there, but how can ya go past an undefeated side. Vikings

Blue Eagles v San Marc - To hard to call, very similar sides 2-2
Para v El Sal - Para to smash El Sal, way to physical for them 5-0
PPU v Macedonia - Home ground but close, PPU 1-0
Brahma v Asteras - Don't know much about either but I'll go Brahma 2-0
Plympton v Vikings - Vikings way to strong in attack and will continue 1-5

Blue Eagles v San Marco - tough game to call but i reckon the blue eagles will take a 1 goal win.
Munno Para v El Sav - We should wipe the floor against these but in recent times we have struggled, going into the game thinking this.
PPU v Macedonia - i think this game will end in a draw, macos love a draw.
Brahma v Asteras - i hope brahma get a win to bring the asteras down to earth but asteras might scrape over the line, will be physical.
Plympton v Vikings - Vikings too strong for the dogs but im hoping for a draw.

:?: Anyone know where El Sav are playing, ive heard they have been kicked out the girls school and are playing at spruance rd now. Can anyone confirm :?:

Blue Eagles v San Marco – Will go the draw in the Eastern Derby 3-3
Para v El Salvador – Para should destroy them 5-0
PPU v Macedonia – PPU at home
Bulldogs v Vikings – should be a cracker, probably the match of the round with both teams dropping to Div 3 this year. Probably the Vikings biggest test this week but the Doggies in a close one at home 2-1
Brahma v Asteras – Another big game for both teams. I think I will go the draw 2-2.

Not sure about all this animosity towards Asteras though what has brought this on? We have always found them to be a good bunch of lads who play hard on the pitch but definitely aren’t afraid to get into the opposition club rooms & knock down a few beers with their opponents after the game which is very hard to say about other clubs in the amateur league.

Blue Eagles v San Marco - Eastern derby with plenty on the line for both teams. Blue Eagles in a tight one.
Munno Para v El Sav - Para way too strong.
PPU v Macedonia - Haven't seen Macoes yet, but PPU are hard to break down - draw for me.
Brahma v Asteras - Brahma are a physical side, and will test Asteras - but Asteras to come through with the goods.
Plympton v Vikings - Vikings were not that impressive in Rd1 against us, but seem to be setting the pace so far. Doggies tough to beat at home - draw.

Munno Para v El Sav - another loss for el salv
PPU v Macedonia - macos struggling this year, gotta go with ppu at home
Brahma v Asteras - hopefully a draw
Plympton v Vikings - although vikings have won all 4 they have yet to play the good teams, except para, going for plympton

Definately no animosty towards the club however if your read last weeks predictions on the round 4 post you'll notice the ridiculous prediction and consequent comments by Blue Boy regarding MU Lions which caused retaliation and around and round it goes....

We can all bag each other and give each other shite and i reckon the div 3 contributors so far are doing a super job representing their clubs and our division without unwanted racism which bastardises threads and has no place in a football forum :D

I would have to agree with Bada Bing, I havent noticed any animosity towards Asteras and I agree that they ceratinly are a good bunch of blokes from what I saw. I suspect that people are looking at their excellent record in Div 4 last year and their good start to this year, but suspecting that this weekend might be a bit of a reality check. Brahma at home is a big test to any team. That said, as I tipped, I think it will be a great game and will be close.

Umm i have no F&$#ing idea what happened that day....we come off beating PHE 2-1 the week before and for some reason after 20 mins or so it all went bad....our b's got flogged that day too and they've turned it around big time.... i think a reality check was in order for the lads....and yes i consider that dropped points without any disrespect to the Saints....we also had the better of Plympton especially in the second half with enough chances to win 4 games but finishing let us down a little so that was another dropped 2 points....

but nah we pretty happy with 7th :P

right, here they are...
eagles to win in the derby. good side eagles. a team that play without luck
para to win via forfeit, so browny to claim those goals
maco are up and down but i reckon they'll win at PPU
brahma to win at home, only if alby is playing
and vikings to continue on their mery way, although a trip to plympton is never easy

Plympton vs Adelaide Vikings - Plympton hard to beat at home, should be a share of the points.
Brahma vs Adelaide Asteras - Brahma strong team but Asteras should come away with the win.
Payneham vs Macedonia - Hard to pick a winner.
El Salvos vs Munno Para - Para way to strong, should be another smashing for the Salvos!
Blue Eagles vs San Marco - Would be a great game to see the eastern derby, 2-2.
