Re: What a Win For Puma's
Is the clubroom still a toilet block down at Pumas?? What a sh!thole.
At least East have a clubroom, and changerooms, and umpteen 1st Division 1 titles, and supporters, and a junior set up.
40 registered players and 10 that train, go Pumas

Waiting, waiting, waiting for the opportunity to come out and do some Puma-bashing.
This thread was started in high spirits, with an acknowledged "well done guys"
Then along come the predictable - "hey look over there guys, there's some tall poppies"
Oh-so predictably it always resorts to the lack of facilities at our home ground.
Guys, get your opinions educated before you go flapping them around in the breeze:
1. Thomas Turner reserve is leased from the local council - they are repsonsible for constructed facilities, not the clubs who lease from them.
Yes we have approached them time and time again about improving the situation in view of a long term relationship. They simply are not interested.
Maybe if the State Government didnt have to spend as much money on your dole cheque and mental health each fortnight, you could enjoy nicer public facilities.
2. The Pumas have been around for less than ten years.
If ANY of you "Pumas have got shit changerooms, where I cannt do my hair and make-up before the game" can build a not-for profit organisation into one which is owns property, with outstanding facilities in under 10 years you deserve commendation, the first of which will be mine.

Re: What a Win For Puma's
I dont think any Amatuer club owns its clubrooms. Ours are owned by Salisbury Council. Councils are happy to invest in clubs and clubroom upgrades. You need to apply for a grant though, not just ask if you can have some money.plans wrote:Where is this deep dark cave of people like you?ROBBO wrote:Is the clubroom still a toilet block down at Pumas?? Re: What a Win For Puma's
ok why would they need to come and face everyone
They wanted to leave so they did
Easts kicked up a stink because they lost 3 good players and made them all pay way more to leave then what any other club would of asked
If easts were good to thoses players they would of only asked for $37.50 rego to leave and everyone would of been happy
i guess easts needs the money so thats why you made them pay $80.

Re: What a Win For Puma's
the way those boys went about leaving the club is what is dissapointing, to go behind their coaches back and their team mates, who thought they were mates anyway was discusting and then to deny it when asked about it is even worse. I believe they had to pay more money because for a club it's not just the registration costs that you need to take into account it's also insurance etc.england13 wrote:ok why would they need to come and face everyone

Re: What a Win For Puma's

it would be a great game
i just hope easts go about playing the game the right way and not jut to hurt players
cos what goes around comes around

Re: What a Win For Puma's
You cant go around asking clubs to take on 5 first team players when you are still playing for a club. That is just plain rude! Sorry but i dont really want to post anymore of what happened and if you guys aren't the chairman of pumas or anyone who had initial contact with the players in question you cant really comment.
We had every right to ask for compensation, you might say for shirts, socks and shorts we had ordered for them to play in.
At the end of the day if they are going to act the way they did i say you can bloody have them. They were strugging to make the standard required anyway. They can probably tell you that if they were being honest.

Re: What a Win For Puma's
From what I've seen of Pumas, the home team change rooms must be a palace because the Pumas hair and make up is always top notch. Good work Pumas you acquired 3 quality 2nd division players that couldn't cut it in the 1st division. And to the three players in question it was probably a good move, if you cant swim, stay out of the Fcuking pool.

Your highly developed appreciation for the appearance of members of the same sex is flattering, but I'm just not into such things.buddhafatguts wrote:From what I've seen of Pumas, the home team change rooms must be a palace because the Pumas hair and make up is always top notch.

Re: What a Win For Puma's
too true buddha i think they must have one hell of a mirror setup in that port-a-potty of theirs i remember going to pumas while playing for a mates div 3 side and wanting to go back to a div 3 changeroom. that just goes to show that the quality of the grounds doesnt determine the quality of the team. i wish the players who went to pumas from east all the best and hope they change their attitude quick smart, because if they stay the same no one will want to play with them!!! not even pumas.
HA'WAY THE LADS
Re: What a Win For Puma's
wasn't making the standard???
Theses guys played at you club for a few years and all 3 have played first team over the past 2 years so how can you tell me they arent good enough

Re: What a Win For Puma's
if players are good enough they usually don't drop down to a lower division during a season

Is that Right Mr Spoonman All 3 of you were playing B's last season & coming off the bench for the A's, then 2 of you had the gaul to go & try out for Western Strikers & subsequently didn't make it! You play 2 games for the A's this year, kop constructive critisim about how you need to play at the Div 1 level & then you all have a chat to Florina after we had all left the club for a beer & chicken wings & ask them if they need players! Then we get phone calls the very next day from these clubs - Florina & Inter & then you deny it. Your all Dogs! That is why the people at the club were so pissed, it's the way you went about it!england13 wrote:wasn't making the standard???

Re: What a Win For Puma's
The guys that have stepped up into those positions are playing very well thankyou! They have the desire to play for a great club like Para Hills East & are willing to work hard, learn & listen to the coaching staff who have so much experience.england13 wrote:so how is easts going with out 3 bad players cos if they were first team players you must of had to have bring up guys that are even worse then them???????

That last sentence made no sense at all!
Re: What a Win For Puma's
seems to me easts just love experience and sometimes the young guys are the ones missing out even tho they are the better players.
Gaz is a great player. but i think easts should of looked in promoting the young guys and looking towards the future. instead of playing guys who were good 10 to 20 years ago.
and im not puting gaz in that because he is one of the best players in the comp still to this day.

Re: What a Win For Puma's
ok josh number one fact
i never said anything to anyone, i didnt speak to keith or simon or even you.
None of us never even spoke to Florina.
Yeh i knew someone at inter so i was talking about going then. So ill give you that one
At the end of the day i wasnt happy at easts because like keith said if we werent happy we could fcuk all for all he cares, so i just did what the coach said and i did it.
i am sorry about the way i went about it but even if i did it the way you guys wanted it wouldnt of made a difference we left in the end because we werent happy
oh and by the way i played 1 b's game last year. and that was cos i wasnt training and then when i trained i was playing first team the second half of the year.

Re: What a Win For Puma's
What do you think we are doing? Most of the side is young guys, Gary Aitken plays at the back & so does Andy Locke & you need experience in a side alongside the younger guys so they can learn off the older guys! Also Gary Aitken is the reigning player of the year!!!!!!!england13 wrote:seems to me easts just love experience and sometimes the young guys are the ones missing out even tho they are the better players.

That whole statement you just made has no basis to it at all! Enjoy your time at Puma's, when the step up is needed they will see you can't cut it!

Here's me wishing I was back at Vista just to teach you Pumas fools a lesson. Western Strikers didnt want you, Florina didnt want you, Inter didnt want you. Thank Christ for pumas hey boys or you might have ended up at El Salvador. At least you'd make the 1st team there.
