Chelsea v manchester united
Manchester United away was Avram Grant’s first fixture as Chelsea manager. On the day, The Blues lost 2-0 and Grant was destroyed by the media who had just lost Jose Mourinho, a national treasure in terms of tabloid headlines. The uncomfortable truth for the media though is that Chelsea lost just one game in their following 28 and have collected as many points as United, an astonishing 67.
With a three point gap and a much better goal difference, Alex Ferguson’s men will be happy with a draw. They have not found the net in the last four visits at the Bridge and have won once in the last nine but with a win they would lift their 10th title since the Premier League was formed.

Re: Chelsea v manchester united
Avram Grant has seen his side lose just one league game out of 28 since defeat against Manchester United in his first match in charge back in September.
Since that game, Man Utd and Chelsea have picked up exactly 67 points each.
Chelsea have only won one of their last five matches against Manchester United – this coming in the 2007 FA Cup final.
United have only won one of the last five and the other three have ended as draws (including the 2007 Community Shield which United won on penalties)
Manchester United have only conceded two goals in their last four matches against the Pensioners.
Chelsea have only lost once in their last nine Premier League matches against United at home.
United have failed to find the net in their last four Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge.
United have won eight and drawn one of their seven games against the teams in the top six this season.
Ricardo Carvalho has scored in his last two appearances in the Premier League against Man Utd.
Carlos Tevez has scored in his last two league appearances against Chelsea.
Louis Saha has scored in both his last two league appearances against Chelsea
Nicolas Anelka has scored five goals in 10 league starts against Man Utd including the winner for Bolton in a 1-0 success earlier this season.
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 80 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge.
Man Utd have fired in 520 shots this season – the most in the league – while Chelsea have mustered just 410.
Both sides have kept 20 clean sheets this season – a joint-league high.
32% of the goals United have conceded this season have been headers – the highest proportion in the top flight.
United have scored 17 goals in the final 10 minutes of matches – a league high.

Is vidic playing? i heard he might be out injured if so a big loss for United.
I saw that anelka has a good record vs Manure so will be interesting if he starts over Drog especially after his poor midweek performance.

Re: Chelsea v manchester united
Jabba the Hutt aka Grant better have a good strategy in plan to beat United, Man Utd still have Barca to worry about. Hopefully Chelsea can eliminate Liverpool. Chelsea should rip out a 3-5-2 and play attacking.
The score will be a 1-1 draw Man Utd to capture the title.

The american fox network apparantly has Fox Football (probably called Fox Soccer) a channel dedicated to the greatest game in the world. You will probably be able to see the game dependant on where you are. My mate was recently in Vegas and LA and said he found a pub to watch all the games he wanted in, plus his in laws had the relevant subscription anyway.adriano10 wrote:absolutely PUMPED for this one... hopefully lady luck smiles down on us like she did against the Poo in the last few seconds....

Chelsea dominating, nice goal by Ballack, obvious to see what Chelsea can do with a REAL delivery which Drogba supplied, unlike the useless Ferreira.

Nice to see the shirt which was unveiled in the goal celebration, Pat Lampard R.I.P
Re: Chelsea v manchester united
exactly what I was thinking, Drogba burnt ferreira to cross that ball in.IpswichTown1878 wrote:Chelsea dominating, nice goal by Ballack, obvious to see what Chelsea

Whats with the Chelsea sportmanship, surely it can't last?
Re: Chelsea v manchester united
This is where it's sad to see the ref with no choice but to book him. Where is the crime? The t-shirt is non offensive and the restart was not delayed but the ref had no choice.IpswichTown1878 wrote:Nice to see the shirt which was unveiled in the goal celebration, Pat Lampard R.I.P

Still think USA will win the title and i guess they should as they have played good football for most of the year, although they get alot of favourable ref calls!!IpswichTown1878 wrote:As your an Arsenal fan... who do you want to win the title??pires7 wrote:nice dress rehearsal for the goals Ballack will put away at Euro!

I would imagine all non man ure fans want chelsea to win it, I know I do. But then apart from west scum, i'd always support the london side against some northern peasents.

I agree with the first part, but i wouldn't favor a London side over a side from Manchester, I just hate Man U.Hawkesy wrote:I would imagine all non man ure fans want chelsea to win it, I know I do. But then apart from west scum, i'd always support the london side against some northern peasents.

Simon Hill tells us he's a Manc yet kisses Man U arse all the time! I want some blatant bias, maybe people are just happy that the team puts the city on the world map!

but you're not a londoner. How about if I made it a southern side (minus norwich)?IpswichTown1878 wrote:I agree with the first part, but i wouldn't favor a London side over a side from Manchester, I just hate Man U.
