The amateur leagues website is http://www.saasl.com.au, if you click on clubs you can browse them by division and it will give you a club contact and an address. College soccer? I didn't catch any when I was last in the US but I am guessing you want at least first division of the amateur league or perhaps even state league, premier league or super league.

This link will take you to the FFSA site that has a list of state league, premier league and super league clubs with all their contact info.
Worst comes to worst turn up somewhere and watch a game and see how you go from there.

Could always try my method. Go for a drive on a saturday afternoon, find a game playing watch for a while and if you like what you see speak to them.
Inner North East - Campbeltown, Klemzig
or Outer North East - Modbury, Tea Tree Gully

Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Para Hills East are going through a rebuilding phase at the moment so i'm sure they'd love to have you.
their coach is called Keith Ryan you can call him on 0411182003. They're a good bunch of lads up there and easy to get along with.

Re: american looking for a club
We at Flinders Uni had a guy play for us from the American college system 2 years ago. He was too good for our league Sat div 2 and in my opinion too good for amateurs. I am not sure if he was great good or average when it comes to the American College system but he did leave us half way through the year so he could go back to college and hopefully get drafted to the MSL.
My opinion, go try out at a state league team (or watch them train) see if you too good or not good enough and go up or down leagues depending out the outcome. Or if you want to just play with some great guys and have fun come down and play for Flinders Uni. You did say you didn't mind to travel.

Re: american looking for a club
I've had mates play college level US in say NCAA Div 2 that have played 1st team in the Super League. It depends on which club you go to. It is worth trying a Super League or Premier League club. Maybe try Comets (close to city), Modbury Jets, Para Hills or Campbelltown, then maybe try some SAASL Div 1 teams.
Alot of guys at Adelaide Uni from the States every year play for the Blacks in Div 1 on Saturday but they're better than that. One player even trialed with Ad City in the old NSL but couldn't sign due to visa issues.

Re: american looking for a club
You played US college? If the college was nearing Div. 1 or 2 then you should definitely try a fed team and what better fed team than Raiders at the Croatian Sports Centre at Gepps Cross.
More importantly, though, get you American ass out too football in the Summer time. As in American Football.

just so people are aware, the Division system doesn't work as it does everywhere else in the world. Colleges are placed in divisions based on their student populations.

Thank you Lucas now go clean your anorak.
If you played to a high standard in America you might make the bench of one of the reserves sides of a Sunday Div 1 team!

Having an American in your team would be a great move. That should save all the other players getting kicked.
Who would you rather foul?
It would help put all the other racism issues to bed as we all joined in solidarity to hate one of Bushs' finest.
We could all join hands in a circle, Scotsmen and Englishmen, Bosnians and Serbs, Greeks and Turks as we sneered at the spawn of capitalism with his whiter than white teeth and perfect plastic enhanced features.
Are you feeling it lads? Spread the love man.
Have a nice day yall.

Re: american looking for a club
Where is the need to even state he was american and just say he was looking for a club? A lot of americans the first thing they say is "I'm from the united stated" and it's like you know and I don't care, so what's your point?

This American (Alaskan) is trying to avoid clubs !
