Modbury Jets

Post by Monkey Boy »

I heard a little rumour that Tyson Prescott is back in town and scored a hat trick on the weekend? Anyone confirm? If so a very very handy pick up and no wonder Jets are unbeaten.....

I am not sure of his name but he is a big fella with light coloured hair. He was certainly a handfull for our defence and scored 3 great goals. One from the half way line AKA Mori NSL grand final style, a cracking shot from outside of the box and a tap in after beating 2 or 3 BOSA players and the keeper. He and their keeper will win the league for them if they stay injury free.

I saw his hatrick, there will be many more goals from "ONE DART" this season.
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

60 goals, never to be equalled.

Tyson is a great player and I'm sure he will cream the saturday league. I always thought he would do really well here in SA playing feds, but he moved over to the UK and as far as i know Jets have always kept a tab on where he was and when he will be coming back. They were always first in line to sign him.
So was this the player gardens was chasing just before the season started?? I assume it was.

On a side note I drove past the Jets pitch last weekend and without a doubt they would have the best pitch in the amatuer league, the grass looked better than Hindmarsh last night.

Is the rugby team still playing there as well?

I said something like that to them when I was there and they said it would be brown in two weeks
They're in for a shock when they come to Cowandilla primary school.

It's a nice pitch until it rains, it has a serious drainage problem. Keeps the ducks happy though :D

it makes for a good slip and slide but smells like a swamp in the winter  still its a damn good pitch suppose it is technically part of the water catchment for the modbury heights area.

as one of our sponsers is pooraka sand and metal they have supplied us with tonnes of sand so the pitch was top dressed 4 times over the pre season. it would hold up for the whole year but there is a rugby club who play at our ground as well now and they f#*k it all up.

Hey Laney welcome back. Pooraka Sand and Metal are a great sponsor, good guys as well.

You still got that fascination with me laney. Should I keep my back to the wall when I'm up in Modbury.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".
