Westies beat Gardens
Nelly gone quiet?
Good result for the young westies outfit, picking up a valuable 3 points away from home,
Goals for P Simpson & R Harris for westies,
Westies very unlucky not to be 3 from 3, with a late penalty against Downs costing 2 points
any news on the match?

Westies doing very well after turning over a few players. A great result for them against the Gardens.

Re: Westies beat Gardens
Westies have had a great start to the season after an indifferent pre-season and the loss of Eggers and Clarkey who are both class acts.
The new additions have fit in extremely well and will give most teams a run for there money, the biggest problem they may encounter is there inexperience as the average age of the team is only 23, the oldest player is only 29.
Time will tell but I predict big things for the West this year.

Re: Westies beat Gardens
I would have thought Westies would do well. Dave Beaman is an organised coach and expects the best from his players. He has coach at a decent level. He has taken a few boys from a premier league side and all four of them are lifesavers so they are very fit and strong. They can all play maybe not to a first team premier league standard buy would fit into most Div 1 sunday teams. Good luck to them and top 4 finish for sure.
Re: Westies beat Gardens
Westies are doing well and working with a very small squad and are still on the lookout for quality Div 1 players especially STRIKERS ....any persons interested contact the club direct.

not a bad start for westies at all. still a long way to go yet though. lack of depth may show later in the season. good to see an old school mate p. simpson on the team sheet for westies.

hes a handy player! epecially when he goes on those stampeding buffalo runs of his and gives his shots max power just like his brothermackem in blue wrote:not a bad start for westies at all. still a long way to go yet though. lack of depth may show later in the season. good to see an old school mate p. simpson on the team sheet for westies.

don't about stampeding reddders, i think sometimes when he goes to shoot after a long mazy run, he's mezmerised not only the defenders but himself. Those corner flags at westies have copped a bit of beating from some of P. Simpsons shots over the last couple of years. wonderful crosser of the ball, westies just need someone who can get there heads on it.
Congrats on the goal paul. Just one more to catch ya brother.

He has been known to break an arm on those mazy runs he does
How far can P Simpson throw the ball?
