'sta notte

Parma vs Lazio

interesting fact: the 1st match between the sides, Lazio were playing for Gabbo (RIP), Firmani scored an 89th minute winner but this week Parma are playing for their own dead tifoso. Hope there are no last min winners for the parmigiani.

Atalanta 0 - 2 Inter
Catania 3 - 0 Napoli
Fiorentina 2 - 0 Reggina
Parma 2 - 2 Lazio
Sampdoria 2 - 0 Livorno
Siena 1 - 1 Udinese
Torino 0 - 1 Empoli

Inter were quite comfortable in the end, as were Catania, Sampdoria and Fiorentina in their wins. It is a costly draw for Udinese, but Empoli are on cloud nine with what could potentially be an A saving goal scored by Vanucchi in the 89th minute for victory. Great goals by Lazio in their match, but Parma hit back before the break with no change to the score afterwards.

Great to see the kid get a start, felt sorry for him got the sh!te kicked out of him by the Atalanta defenders without protection from the ref and yet got booked himself for half as much as he got.

Important win away, Atalanta managed to beat us at home in the final run to 02 so good to see history didn't repeat itself. Listening to Mancini these days in interviews he sounds a broken man, I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves at the year end regardless of what happens.

Good to see Zenga start his Serie A coaching career with a solid win, nice dummy by the Catania player for the third goal :P

Fiorentina next with Mutu back playing 90 minutes but with Roma travelling to Udine and Juve hosting Milan should make for a great round.

The Italian crew that is Samp (do they have any foreigners?!?) keep going from strength to strength, if Serie A was played like the Argentinean league they'd be close to top in la Clasura

Heh, I hadn't really noticed that. According to our good friend wiki, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.C._Sampdoria#Players, Samp have 7 foreigners in their squad. Very good effort from them.

all 11 and their 3 subs were Italians today, start most games with no foreigners.

I can't take credit for noticing as it was pointed out to me :P

Congratulations to Alessandro Del Piero

The great man played his 553rd game for Juventus against Palermo, passing the legendary Gaetano Scirea and becoming the player with most ever Juventus appearances. He also has scored the most goals for Juventus, with 233 in all competitions.

Grazie Ale, let's hope you go well past the 600 mark for Juventus. He is a legend of the bianconeri and I hope he goes on to work with the club, and maybe even become president, ala Boniperti, once he retires.

take note Madrista, a team fighting relegation vs a very much inform side with some players fighting for their place at Lazio

Parma take lead, Lazio score 2 quick goals, parma fight for equaliser and get it. Oh wait they're italian, must have sat back and not chased the win.

Samp playing will a full Italian side, great to see, specially with them doing well, Cassano made a great comeback apparently 2 assists.

I hope Empoli beat Parma, Our Laziali defeat Siena, Cagliari & Livorno draw. Then we have to beat Sampdoria at the Granillo this week but it will be tough since they have our former coach Walter Mazzarri he knows our every move :x I wish we had him back :x and they also have Cassano the bastardi who we must shut down.

FORZA LAZIO

'sta notte vs Siena

I'm tipping us to get a decent win here, plenty of goals to be scored, at least 3 IMO. Siena have been in good form, a win will pretty much secure their survival but they arent going to get a fukn win.

Lazio are good at home and I think they should win it.

Roma welcome back Totti for the big match in Udine and I think they will win, only just. Roma cannot afford any slip up and perhaps just that little bit extra motivation for the Scudetto can push them over the line.

Empoli and Parma may not want to be pushing too many men forward in this game and it may be a case of a fear of losing a crucial match will see it be a rather drab affair.

Inter to win at home. Fiorentina will give them a good run for their money but like Roma, with the Scudetto on the line you can get that little bit more and with Fiorentina having played in midweek as well, Inter can push on in the final 20 minutes if the game is still hanging in the balance.

agree

I really hope they do slip up, scudetto giallorosso che disastro. I am very gald this match is in Friuli and not the Olimpico, and Udinese's attack will test Roma's defence.

Empoli need a win more than Parma do and are at home, I reckon they'll try and get an early goal. Theyve done it a few times this season, including against us.

just like on that day on the 5th of Maggio 8)

Average 1st half really but with the 2 sides playing, not a massive surprise. Lazio playing a 2nd string side, literally players fighting for their futures at the club, specially the two donkeys we have up front in Tare and Vignaroli.

Rocket of a shot from Mutarelli. Earlier on we nearly saw some free kick magic from Roberto Baronio as well, another guy fighting to be at Lazio.

Empoli 1 - 1 Parma (relegation battle)
Genoa 0 - 0 Torino
Lazio 1 - 0 Siena
Livorno 1 - 1 Cagliari (relegation battle)
Napoli 0 - 0 Atalanta
Reggina 1 - 0 Sampdoria (massive score there, could help save Reggina while Samp's CL dream coulkd end) Goal from Brienza, the guys on fire.
Udinese 0 - 0 AS Roma (5th vs 2nd)

Fiorentina with a great chance to pull away in fourth spot if they can get something in Milan later on.

What a result for Reggina!

I love you Giovinco, what a great goal :D.

Super Mario does it again, better than Pato?

Love the kid's aggression, no backward steps, I reckon he wanted to put a couple of viola defenders in the back of the net to

If Cambiasso & Capitano stay healthy we should be fine. Decent crowd as well to "welcome" back Vieri

Atalanta - Juventus
Cagliari - Empoli
Catania - Lazio
Fiorentina - Palermo
Milan - Reggina
Parma - Napoli
Roma - Livorno
Sampdoria - Udinese
Siena - Genoa
Torino - Inter

Roma and Inter both playing relegation battlers
Samp and Udinese have the big match for that CL spot, whoever loses is pretty much out of contention IMO
Milan play Reggina at home and I think they'll get over their average home form for a win here, Calabresi to move closer to the drop
Cagliari and Empoli in a match important for survival

Important gave for the viola if they want to close out 4th, they've still got a few UEFA cup games left as well.
