For me SAD GAL it's not what you're saying it's the fact that you're not doing anything about it. Anyone can stand on the sidelines and criticise but what are you actively doing to change what you believe are flaws in the system?
I think you make a lot of accusations without any evidence to really back up what you're saying. Are you a former player who was disposed of in a 'questionable or unprofessional manner'?
Have you ever been to a delegates meeting at SAWSA?

Thanks Keeps however, I am not (by choice or design) involved. And I don't need to in order to make my opinion on what I see as inaction. If I were incorrect I would go away and die (don't wish that on me please) But I know that the criticism levelled towards me is because I am correct.
If you girls are happy to spend time and energy and lots of money attending State/National league etc taht amounts to a feel good exercise then good luck. I think you all deserve a fighting chance.

SAD GAL, what confuses me with your posting is comments like this:

Who exactly are you referring to here?? Because essentially from reading your posts I understand your issue to be with the WOMEN'S game. If this is the case then comments like that lead me to believe that you have a problem with Wendy @ SAWSA, because she is the ONLY paid employee for the Women's Association in SA.
The FFSA don't currently have a responsibility to Women's Soccer/Football, because we havn't affiliated with them yet. I think you cop a lot of stick because it seems like you are critising one person, and one person cannot be expected to do everything that you ask....
If you are directing your comments to more than just SAWSA could you please be a little bit more specific, because otherwise you do just come across as someone who is happy to point the finger at a very hardworking woman, and not at all prepared to get your own hands dirty.
I wonder how you yourself would feel to be critisised by a faceless person, who feels entitled to pass judgement on your efforts even though they themselves openly admit that they don't do anything to improve the situation. How would you feel???
If your issue is with the SASI program, who do you feel is responsible for selecting the players?? Is it Wendy (the paid employee)?? I may be wrong because I don't have any personal involvement in SASI, but I didn't think they were governed by or beholden to SAWSA on any level....???

What I'm trying to clarify is when SG says that she is entitled to critisise the people who are paid to promote the game, who is she actually talking about.
My point is that as far as the management of the women's game in SA, the running of the sport, well that is SAWSA, and the only paid person @ SAWSA is Wendy.
I raised the issue about SASI becoz a lot of SAD GALS posts relate directly to SASI, National teams and Development of SA players and I believe if you are going to be critical about something you should make it clear about whom it is you are critisising.
SAWSA cannot be held accountable for what SASI do or don't do in terms of getting SA players selected (IMO) as they are not a part of the same governing body.

Like i think to an extent the clubs have somethin to do with player selection and what not. Like if they dont do their jobs they wont get into SASI so then wont go any further and lets face it players have more of a chance of goin upwards if they are in SASI or have gone through SASI.
