Only 9 teams this year.

It was intended to be a 10 team comp with Eliz Vale relegated and Toros promoted but then Gawler dropped out to make 9 teams.

There is a bye each round of the season.

so why didnt they bring up another team from the division bellow?

guess it gives the girls that extra week rest when the bye does come around.

tbh diego - there wasnt a team decent enough and also u need "i tihnk" 1 junior team and definately a reserve team - the other div 1 teams couldnt fill the space in that regard.
and i thiiiiiiiiiink - it was metro div 1 who won everything so they cant have two teams in prems anyway!!! but dont quote me on that..

i tihnk it will be a wed game - just because - metro have sturt and we have cumby so two tough games i tihnk. we would be doing metro a favour if we agree'd to play wednesday

what are ppl's predictions??????

almost right shorty - it was actually Metro Div2 that I think you are referring to.
Clubs with Premier League teams are not allowed in Div1. After Reserves, Div2 is the next highest comp they can have a team in.

There are a couple of clubs in Div 1 getting organized (so I've heard) with their juniors etc to be a prems team in a season or to. As we all know its a huge jump from Div 1 to Prems

Good luck to cup participants.

Its come around so quick.

Fulham United (is this the name shorty) should however do not underestimate the dower stiffling Metro United game.

Metro are the Western Bulldogs of the comp. Always around the place. Give a hard contest but never quite get to the top.

Metro won 2 nil against Fulham.

I would just like to say a big thank you from myself and the rest of my family to the Fulham girls and the Metro girls for the minutes silence at the begining of the game for the passing of my grandmother.

It really meant the world to me and Racheal.

Thank you

2-0 win to metro.

Interesting game, metro scoring 2 early goals in the first half and keeping the Fulham defence on their toes. Second half metro played a aggressive game, Fulham finally awoke and started to play better soccer and were in the attack most of the half but were unable to put any goals away although they did come close.

The referee was very busy in the second half trying to keep up with metro's usual aggressive style of play eventually leading to a send off (kirrals - number eight).

What I found quite hilarious - it was close to the end of the game (about 5mins left on the clock) during a metro corner, they kept 4 defenders back and 3 were marking MJ... please explain??

Overall, the game certainly kept everyone on the edge of their seats and would have been a disappointing result for fulham but as for metro their 2 early goals paid off for them.

Well done.

Why does it matter if three metro girls were marking mj?
they won didn't they?
your comment is irrelevant and unideal.

Hey Diego think your comment on the tall Fulham forward a bit off the mark. Her team mates should be getting smarter, because whilst 3 defenders are attending to her there must be other options like a few loose Fulham players to use. The same happened in the Cup Final. Sure this matter will be addressed before these teams meet again and also for when others teams they play try the same tactic.
You asked were Metro at full strength! One could ask were Fulham?
Metro won this encounter looking forward to a couple more clashes during the season.
Both these teams have more to worry about than each other this season I suspect. :)
