hahaha.....metro were completly dominant.....bull!
metro cumby game was really quite even. metro had sum chances n so did cumby. neither side had alot of gd chances, n cumby jst took one of theirs. i thought metro were the beta team in the 1st half, but in the 2nd half cumby were the beta team....wat does that say bout the teams endurance?
wat i took out of yesterday's game is that wen metro come up gainst a team thea is as physical as they r, they dont like it and start to complain, funny bout that.

all you can take from the first round is that this season should be a good one, and difficult to predict - I would love to see a very even competition this year with no dominant teams.

Ps. that one chance that Cumby took was a really nice fast flowing move, finished of with a beautiful shot. You really didn't stand a chance of saving it krazy. (thats my opinion anyway)

You have got to be joking me .. ecky_8
i guess that gives insight into your knowledge of football ..

2nd half ..for more than i would say 25-30minutes the ball did not leave our attacking half..
how can you say that cumberland were dominant?
but if you call 'even'.. cumberland having 2 shots by all means they are amazing..
and last time i checked it was the cumberland bench getting rowdy and frustrated before their break ..

as for the teams endurance dont get me started.. we were not run off the park at all where u actually watching the game?

but by all means feel free to proclaim that cumberland were DOMINANT..and the better team ..
i will happily admit when i lose to a better team ..
but on sunday ..that was not cumberland..

pvfc - credit where credit is due ..the finish was without a doubt a good one ..and a nice switch prior ..our concentration failed us

hey, i was on the same pitch u were...maybe keepers hav a different view on the game but i didnt think so.
n wen did i say i thought cumby were the beta team??!?!.....i said it was an even game, with metro having more possesion the 1st half, n cumby having more the 2nd half.

Re: Round 1 results

Post by KrAzY »

you implied it ..
you could have been on the same pitch..
you clearly were not playing the same game..
dont make this a keeper thing..
should have just taken the win and went with that..

but if the ball didnt cross the halfway line into cumby's attacking half for almost 30 mins of the second half, how did cumby dominate the second half?

anyways yeh. just interesting

wtf! u were the one complaining coz sum1 said that we played u off the park.......i neva said tht, nor did i mean to imply it....thats jst wat u read into it, krazy.
n yes i was playing the same game...srry but wat was the score?? who got the points in the end?? thats all that matters, n thats wat ill take. maybe u shld learn that metro r not the gr8est team goin round and to give other teams credit for once.....as i clearly gave metro credit. (n no im not saying that cumby r the gr8est)

When didnt i give cumberland credit.. maybe you should have really read my post ..
go back ..have a look ..my comments to pvfc..
you got three points well in ..ur wickeeeeeeeeeeeed...
i never said metro was the greatest team in the league ..nor did i say they would be this season ..
i love my club.. i love my team ..what are you going to do about it ?
so now ur gloating (yes u just had to rub it in..) is showing a negative light on your team ..
thats ok..i never put ur team down ..i said what happened..the way that it happened..
unlike easy tiger who has complained about false accusations etc.. i was making facts clear..
but continue to argue please..

thats very true, wat wld u refer dominating to??
KrAzY

Re: Round 1 results

Post by KrAzY »

lol you have no facts to support your theory of cumberland 2nd half dominance..other than a goal on a break?

You are a reflection of your club..
everything you say has a direct result on the club you are involved with ..

if womens soccer was in the spotlight of the media then everything you say would be in the spotlight..

i did not insult you ..i merely pointed out that your actions (like i said before) have a direct result on how people view your club..

gubs....coz i was curious to c wat ur answer wld be. ppl do hav different opinions and i like to know wat they r.....n coz im a sh*t stirrer....i like to annoy ppl with things like that

krazy...fine, we both have a right to our own opinions....and apparently they differ. so wat. i dont care, i still believ my opinion is right, n i also believe that metro did play a gd game, it was an even game (in my opinion).

well u can dominate possession and not have a shot on goal

or u can dominate the game where u have both possession and shots on goal

however, if the majority of ur possession is obtained in ur defensive half then thats not dominating possession....thats just called absorbing pressure or being so closed in u have no way out

depends how u look at it really

and u wonder why you don't actually get much talk about the games on here... just read above... i wouldn't post about a game that i played in either... usually just ends up in a slanging match anyway...

3 reasons why you don't see much game chat...
a. karma... it just bites you on the arse...
b. Self-praise is no recommendation...
c. you're only as good as your next game...

Good comment adam. Would be fair to simply say Metro had the ball forward a lot and failed to capitalize on the scoreboard. Cumberland took their opportunities. Thats how I read it anyway.
gubs comment on the Fulham v City game was pretty spot on. Shorty's comments tongue in cheek. Diego perhaps Olympic may have been doing warm up for Greek Easter. :)

Krazy needs to take a chill pill and stop being so defensive. What could've and should've been was not what happened. Hence Metro lost the game.

Give your opposition some credit mate. Going on the way you have smacks of sour grapes.

Facts, examples = validation ?? Are you trying to validate your psotiion that Metro had the bulk of the pay and opportunitiy or Metro had the majority of the play. BUT FAILED? I went to the Cup Final last year (which metro won) however the semi between City and fulham was the benchmark of games. Worthy of a final!

Again. Its round one and from what I have seen, it will be a good season.

EASY TIGER - this is a write up iv put on the fulham website..

Fulham United vs. Adelaide City

First game of the season is always a tough one for the “Four Time Winning Fulham Girls.” Under new head coach Max Primaro, the girls seemed comfortable with a new formation. With Adelaide City recruiting hard in the off-season it was always going to be a tough game.
Unfortunately the girls couldn’t get the points, but now have several things to improve on for future games.
The exemplary fulham girls seem to save the best for last; with generally getting off to a slow start each season!
Captain courageous Leanne Gubbins was ready for action, saving several goal scoring opportunities from City. Following her numerous saves to keep her team in the game City finally capitalised with a followed up shot after a save off the cross bar.
Although, the girls were 1.0 down they never let that worry them by scoring a disallowed goal from the excellent cross of Nadia Lesan and finishing power or our one and only MJ Rajcic to even things up ten minutes to half time.
When the girls went to the change rooms, although they were outplayed in the first half; were only down by one goal.
Second half, was a different story with the left footed power of Stella Rigon taking stage with a magnificent free kick barely saved by the city keeper. Soon after MJ placed a laid off pass from midfielder Tanya Harrison and put the girls in a 1.1 position.
After several more attacks from the fulham girls they just couldn’t find the back of the net.
City then went down their end and wasted no chances by converting one of their first chances of the second half.
Substituting several of Fulham’s experienced players for the young guns of our club, gave more run to the team and was also a good opportunity for the girls to get some needed experience against quality opposition.
With fulham being 2.1 down and with fifteen minutes to go Max went all out attack, in trying to get the equaling goal; unfortunately this opened the game up for the City strikers who were able to finish the game off with an unsaveable long strike.
Next week the girls are off to take on Adelaide Olympic, hoping for an improved performance and gaining their first points of the season!

ps - this is for the FULHAM website, therefore its supposed to be all about fulham but i tihnk i kept it quite levelled out...
