Terrific day for the club, especially after the so called contraversy mid week. We went down 2-0 and looked out of it, but the fight back was terrific. Pontian were solid and will do well this year. I was surprised we ran out the game stronger and could of made it more in the end. We have a couple of players due back, which will help us against the early title favourites. Next week will be a tougher test especially on the ski slope.

The reserves played well enough, got a little fortunate, but took there chances. First win in over a season will do the boys a world of good. Suddenly the cofidence high at the club again it was good to see.
Congratulations on your brace redders. Not bad for a man on one leg. :D

Cheers, wasnt the ideal preparation for it, but it held up none the less. Wanted to play ressies, but we were struggling for numbers so i said id limp around up front :P

How many did you get Lee?
Just one.. from the penalty spot. It was a pretty comprehensive performance by the boys, only 1-0 up at half time but we finished the game strongly.

Why is the Farm score only 2-0 on there? I thought it was 5?

Ingle Farm v West Beach

First Team
We won 5-0 and was a good way to start the year. Good of done a bit more but still you would take a five goal win anyday. We moved the ball around well, gave the forwards space and kept the defence tight. Beach tried and battled all day and credit to them for it. They are missing a few players who will come back in to give them some depth. Certainly wouldnt be writing them off.

Ressies
A solid 2 nil win but really took the foot off in the second half. Again, moved the ball well but wasted chances early. Second half, Beach defended better but never really threatend outside of a good save made late in the first half. I did notice a few C team boys running around in the B's for them. Our B's will get better

C's
Hard to comment. 3-1 win, 2 penalites and a free kick. We had about 20 players so no one really played more than 60 mins. Good hit out with a couple of players really pushing for the Ressies.

You told me you loved our ski slope Redders!!

Besides, its the potholes you have to watch out for, not the slope!

Our B's will get punished at training this week so be ready for a big clash on Sunday!!

Monkey Boy,

I agree Div1 is a step up from Div 2 but we can't be judged on one game against one of the top teams in the Division. Everyone at the clubs knows it is going to be a long , tough season but with the players we have coming back, we can only improve. Love to have the depth of Ingle Farm's squad though the B team was like an all-stars lineup!

I wouldn't say he was joking with that comment. From what i have heard they have around 5 players who would start in most clubs first team.

Can we get players on loan from you jay?

The Hint Of Sarcasm...nope!! They had a very strong squad out! Ingle Farm's C squad had a couple of players who played in the Ressie Cup final last year. i counted at least 3 players in the B's who could probably get a game in the A's for most Div 1 sides.

I had a below-strength b side with 7 C players. All bar 1 played a half for the C team. If it wasn't for a few last ditch tackles and a few of the farms players being a bit rusty.. the score would have been a lot more! Can't fault the players who played for the Beach B's yesterday..gave it their all.

And what fantastic club might you play for mate?
We do have para hills shops close by, with a woolies!
Why wouldnt we? Everyone else is..... plus jay is a gun!
Why do we need to fix our pitch? Im sure there are a lot worse than ours at the moment. A few solid days of rain and it will be fine. Like many others.
