Re: ttg and the coach without balls
Get over it.... The facts are on the board, TTG have gone thru more coaches than any other club in the past 5 years .....Obviously something wrong there. :?

Re: ttg and the coach without balls
bova boy here are some facts about the coaches who have left, one went to coach at a fed club, next would not commit to how long he would stay due to trip to the world cup, next didnt get reappointed, and if you saw him throughout the season you would understand why, Brad unlucky and the last one upt and left. So maybe not a great record with coaches but the club is not entirely to blame

they had a good coach in Ian Button but cause a couple of players think there bigger than the club he doesnt get reappointed... the club wont get anywhere.. nor do they deserve too

dalglish you have no idea what your talking about.ian button is a really nice bloke but i dont know one person throughout the whole club, committee, players, spectators, who thought ian should be reappointed.dalglish wrote:they had a good coach in Ian Button but cause a couple of players think there bigger than the club he doesnt get reappointed... the club wont get anywhere.. nor do they deserve too

a coach gets you promoted and takes you on a good cup run and not one person at the club thinks he deserves to be reappointed.. and you say i have no idea... your club has no idea

He never re-applied for the position anyway!
Re: ttg and the coach without balls
Dalglish, why would you want to stay at a club if you didnt have the backing of the majority

Re: ttg and the coach without balls
Well, Where is the new gullies coach for the new season, someone said their chairman said they had 3 blokes phone up wanting to coach the club as soon as they knew he'd jacked, that was 2 weeks ago and still no news on a new coach I was told, Was that alot of bulls h i t to keep the players there at the time.
Re: ttg and the coach without balls
I cant say for certain but, from what I can see at training, Jimmy Mitchell is 90% to take the job! Not sure whether there were any coaches lined up after Stocco chucked it in. I think that the players would have stayed even if we hadnt had any one to take over as they had already registered!

Re: ttg and the coach without balls
I think its obvious the club are looking to move forward with the non reappointment of Ian. And unfortunately they have appointed a couple of knobs after that.... If they keep Boots in the team they will never move forward!!! Unless he is in goals.... put him in there he aint half bad!!!

Re: ttg and the coach without balls
we have a coach jimmy mitch. boots pulling on the boots again. monkey boy and farmer joe is that your polite way of saying im to old and should hang em up?imanoutlaw wrote:Anyone is better than no one!!
Re: ttg and the coach without balls
Not at all mate. From what I've seen and heard you are still worth your weight in gold as a player. I should have used quotations due to the fact that was a direct quote from one of your team mates. I was thinking more along the lines of player/coach.boots wrote:we have a coach jimmy mitch. boots pulling on the boots again. monkey boy and farmer joe is that your polite way of saying im to old and should hang em up?imanoutlaw wrote:Anyone is better than no one!!
Re: ttg and the coach without balls
I would have to agree Farmer Joe, boots would have the backing of all the players!

Mate you would have my skill just in your left boot (that doesnt get used that often!!). Id be more than happy lastin as long as you have in the game....
Would you go around again next year? What if you won promotion?
Whats the new coach like? Where's he from etc? (Sorry if im being naive)

C'mon now Monkey Boy, you've just gone too far. We all know boots's left foot is for standing on only. I have definitely never seen him kick with it.Monkey Boy wrote:Mate you would have my skill just in your left boot (that doesnt get used that often!!). Re: ttg and the coach without balls
The rumour I have heard is that Hassell is now the player coach.
Not sure about this bit though but this is what I was told, Jimmy Mitchell wanted the job but the players prefered to have Hassell so he got the gig.
I doubt this is the case because as far as I knew, Jimmy was only interested in been the caretaker until someone else could be found.
Anyone from Gully care to confirm/deny?
