Re: Adelaide villa C team
should be a cracking game on monday. great result for the girls against the downs. really looking forward to mondays game
Re: Adelaide villa C team
sorry jack but what does that mean? with regards to stirling..i mean marion if you guys keep the ball on the deck and play it around you'll have no problems against them.Villa's A's defeated Fulham 1-0 last night. Fulham looked good and all looks well for 08 if that was a genuine FULHAM side they where fielding

Just heard a rumour that Fulham might have struggled for numbers the other night and fielded some quality ring ins?vigilante wrote:sorry jack but what does that mean? with regards to stirling..i mean marion if you guys keep the ball on the deck and play it around you'll have no problems against them.Villa's A's defeated Fulham 1-0 last night. Only what I heard, just asking the question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But on the other hand, they where very well organised and kept there shape for 90mins. so I would be surprised.
Re: Adelaide villa C team
no worries jack i just didn't understand what you meant by it that's all. We struggled to get the numbers due to it being an off training night and heads like bigpond having extremely poor taste in supporting football teams preferring to go to pleurisy park instead!! It was a combination of A's and B's that played. It felt like the match finished early (was it the fully 90 officiated by an older looking version of diego maradona in the 80's?) it was a good game. You guys look good for promotion yet again. Marion and cove will probably be your biggest threats.

Re: Adelaide villa C team
Av super c's came out with a 5-0 win in an intensly fought out game and the boys may have been somewhat surprised by the tackling of the girls team. A good close battle although the score line reads otherwise. Sean Turter was best a field for the guys playing a blinder of a game and scoring a couple of belters, to lift the roof off of the main stand. Unfortunately the play maker left the field with an injury late in the game so will now be wrapped in cotton wool to get him right for the season. All the best buddy.
A very strong effort by the girls all round enabling them to leave the park with their heads up and looking forward to the REMATCH next week.
Pitty the boys didnt come back to club rooms after the game, when its hard enough to get the opposite team back you rely on your own boys

Re: Adelaide villa C team
hey, yeah i hoped that you would like my goals (firtst one was the best lol) hehehe. very happy with the way the boys played, i think we played a bit more like a team in the second half. but the girls were no push overs, they defently dont back out of any tackles and they had strong counter attacks. im going to sports med at 1 oclock today to get some xrays and make sure that there isnt to much damage in the hamstring, still cant walk on it. but yeah thanks to the people at av who helped me off the pitch last night and came and had a talk to me. im suprised that the boys didnt go back to the club rooms, if i could have walked there i would have heheh, would have done anything for a famous av pizza after that game haha

Re: Adelaide villa C team
stell, i think we shouldnt have you on the wing. we need the extra sting up front with someone to support me. but all in all good goal
Re: Adelaide villa C team
very happy 2 say that the xrays showed that the muscle didnt pull away from the bone but very dissapointed about hearing some comments from thr opposing team. a few lads heard one of the players say they wished that happend to me in the first half,,, not a funny joke because they wouldnt be laughing with they had to have ultra sounds, xrays and a rehab program. just bad sportsmanship. but well done boys for putting 6 in the back of the net. il be back on the pitch in no time. once again thanks to people thst helped me such as mick, sab, the players from both teams etc.

Re: Adelaide villa C team
As one of those oppostion players, Sean, nothing was said like that. I thought Megs did an awesome job helping you, though as the 2nd half goalie, it WAS useful having you off field!! You were killing me!
It was a good game, given us girls a lot to think about for next week. All the best with your recovery mate... bring on the rematch!

Re: Adelaide villa C team
Chinese Whispers, exactly! The girls may play hard but none of them wish anything bad on anyone. Just remember you all play for the same club lads, doesn't help inter-team relations with ppl talking crap on a public forum. If you want to name names, PM me or the Coach and they will take it up with the person before the rematch, but if you or your team mates can't say who it was, then your just tarring a whole team with silly little rumours! Remember it was a opposition player who carried you off
Just a word of advise though buddy, when you're 5-0 up against a girls team, you don't need to be sliding on the ground to put in goal number 6 with the bottom of your boots, your injury could have been avoided if you'd curbed your enthusiasm just a touch. It was a trial game after all. Save those sorts of desperate efforts for the league and you'll do well. There's a lot of pressure on you, as the obvious "star" player on the team and you need to learn to look after yourself better if you want to last the season against tougher opposition.
Wish you well for your recovery, you've got youth on your side and if you follow your rehab plan hopefully the boys will have you back out in a few weeks. Good Luck

Jack was mostly impressed by each of the six goals but very depressed by the after goal celebrations. Save them for when your playing against opposition colours fellas, our lovely ladies deserve a bit more respect than that. Maybe that silly looking referee should have had a word to the boys...................but hopefully they'll get the message

just talking bout us boys not coming back to the club for pizza..jst wanna apoligize on behalf of sab and the boys but because of the injury to sean we were just concerned about getting him home ok........
hopefully we can stop the arguing because it doesnt mean anything now.....what was said was said .........we should all jst let it go and concentrate on getting ready for the season

Re: Adelaide villa C team
From my observations after Mondays game, I am quite looking forward to next monday nights game. I would be expecting another bumper crowd. I wonder who will step up for the young lads after that unfortunate injury to the blonde lad? I think they will be feeling a little bit of pressure now as the lad really stood out for them. The GREEN & GOLD wrote:THE COACH HAS THE GIRLS TACKLING THE SCORE BOARD WALL IN PREPERATION FOR MONDAY NIGHTS REMATCH, THAT SHOULD SORT THE MEN FROM THE WOMEN
I logged on to sports bet this afternoon and found the girls had shortened from $7.50 to $1.85 with the boys slight favorites at $1.60 after the injury.
NO PRESSURE BUT FELLAS
Re: Adelaide villa C team
I hear the girls also have a few key players unavailable this week... Seem the boys weren't the only ones to come away with an injury... But alls fair in love and war I'm sure the girls that hit the park on Monday will put their best foot forward
Re: Adelaide villa C team
by doing little celenbrations doesnt show any disrespect to anyone, we're all young in our team and watch soccer all weekend. we do these things cause our idols do hehe. so by celebrating we do it as a joke, nothing serious its just all in fun. and by me trying to get to the ball all the time, i always thought it was a good thing to never give up but oh well, thanks for the advice boys
