Salisbury Villa v BOSA

Post by reggina »

Played on Friday night (28th) ...

B's - S Villa 1 - 4 BOSA
A's - S Villa 3 - 3 BOSA

In what is looking like becoming an annual event, Villa improved alot from last seasons 6-1 hammering in the A's, and 7(or 8?)-1 drubbing in the B's.

Game was played in good spirits (for the most part of course), and there was a bit of atmosphere as the junior teams had their shirt presentation on.
Compliments to Bud Costanzo for keeping all training (juniors & seniors) off of the pitch this pre-season. The ground looked the best it has in years - still a little bumpy in areas, but very soft.

Good luck to BOSA in Div 1 this year, while we at Salisbury Villa are looking forward to playing on Saturdays for the first time in Div 3!

Thanks again BOSA, and unless we get you in the cup, we will see you next year!

Thanks for the hospitality. Possibly not out best game but I certainly don't want to make any excuses. Villa put BOSA under alot of pressure and took their chances when they had them. Villa are looking good enough to take away Div 3 this season and I have no doubt they will be in Div 2 next year. All the best of luck for the season.

The coach (and probably best pick up) is Adam Perre, formerly of Playford Pirates.
Have a couple of "old" Villa players coming back to for this reason, as well as the fact we shifted to Saturdays (Melo Graziano, the Malavindi brothers to name a few) plus alot of new youngsters.

Should be a positive season for us.

I keep trying to but my wife won't let me in the house on a Saturday. Have to do something to pass the time until she lets me in.
