The girls are playing in 15c's, n i think its for the best.. we have a young and inexperienced team.. i can tell you i'd rather be able to practice playing football by having a lot of the possession rater than getting demolished 10-0 everyweek n not touching the ball..

Well said.
What would the girls/coaches learn from being "demolished" 10-0 every week? And what would the boys learn from that??
Not a lot. Therefore, we're playing in a lower division, to "develop" players and practice playing football.

SASI won 10-2, they were up 2-1 at half time.

Became quite a procession towards the end, the girls played an much improved second half and rightly pulled away

And who said playing 15'c was going to benifit the girls. Nobody is going to improve with results like that. Lets just hope they continue winning but get a little tested on the way.

Well done girls. Anyone no roughly the scorers?

Yep it was a good start to the season for us.. we started a bit slow but settled down as the game went on.. the boys did put a lot of pressure on us, so I'm still thinking that we will develop in this league. Its only the first game you cant judge very much from it..

Scorers were as unknown and ecky_8 said, Quigs 5, Angie 2, Ash 2, Ebs 1

A bit of a confidence booster for the girls, and it will help them in the games ahead. I would bet my little cotton socks and booties that there are sterner tests coming the girls way. Well done this week girls. I reckon some of armchair critics have a copy of "The Doomsaday" book along side them and read it from cover to cover everyday.

They win and u complain, they lose and u complain

Seaford are terrible and thats putting it lightly. They have not been known to field strong teams through any of their divisions. How many of u were at the game? Many of u are commenting on the scoreline and not the way they played the ball around. Many of u on here should know that u cant tell how a game is polayed just by looking at the scoreline.

Sasi are playing 15c's as clearly they were blocked from playing in higher divisions so i dont see how thats their problem. The coaching staff are doing their best to ensure the girls are playing at the highest intensity they can. If it means playing at 15c's and then having the rest of the league see how well they compete before they are accepted at a higher level then so be it.

However saying that, I'm sure the girls will come across tougher opposition in the coming weeks

I have said it before...
and I will say it again..

Why sit on footballnews all day making negative comments and coming up with all these things that have to change..
when you could be out there trying to change them!

Talk is cheap at the end of the day..so before you continue your non-stop complaining about sasi and womens soccer in south australia.. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!

You clearly have all the answers when you are sitting behind your computer screen dont you .. atleast thats what you want us to believe!

Looks like everyone's happy. Great. Don't expect thinsg to change anytime soon. Don't expect SA to once again become a powerhouse. Do expect players to get the message and leave SA for the eastern states.

the adminsitartors and coaches do not own the game. we do. The players. without us its NOTHING! They will come and go. Players come stay, play and make the game stronger. We are supposed to leave it in a better state than when we found it.

Am I doomsday prophet? Nah! Just a realist.
