Buddha,
"A team of strong physical lads with some youthful excuberance out wide..."

I must have missed those youthful wingers at training  Apart from the ever impressive Longbomb.. Beware Div 1

So Jay......

What about the fact that two Westies players have been seen out at your trainings? Namely one Clarkey and a Mr D Eggars!! That would surely boost your squad to one that is busting like Adam Dunt's head......

DIV 1
1st Farm
2nd Pontian
3rd Downs

8th East
9th Gardens
10th Para Hills West

DIV 2
Too close to call but predict Bosna will be relegated or possibly kicked out of the league.
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

I wasn't at training last night so I dont know if they trained or not. We didnt train last week due to trial games. Leave poor Duntys head alone, he spends so much time on it :)

Again, we have lost 3 players so we are hardly bursting. We felt that depth was our biggest issue last year and one of the reasons we faded late in the season.

I think the Downs have to go into the season as favourites. They have won two in a row, and have strenghtened their squad since last season. Definitely the team to beat.

Are you putting the boots on again this year Dicanio? Will your brother be returning to Oz in the near future?

Yeah, I'll play again.

Havn't spoken to him for a while but don't think he's planning on returning to Oz in the near future, if he does it probably won't be Adelaide.

What about your brother? Does he ever have a kick these days?

I tip that to happen every year.... but it doesn't. Nothing against the players. But the spectators....

He gave it up when he was about 14 mate and hasn't played since. He tried to play footy a couple of years back and ended up in intensive care for a week. He is a firey now so the shift work makes team sport a bit hard to commit to.

I'm a long way from the action and not very informed but based on what I have read on here:

Div 1

1st - Farm
2nd - Downs
3rd - Pontians or Vale

I also think West Beach will stay up unlike many people.

Farm did exceedingly well in their first season and won't drop 7 points out of the first 9 like they did last year as they will now be accustomed to the division. Downs will have a great team on the park by amateur standards (as they always do) but they may have already hit a level and peaked. With strong off season transfer activity and a year's experience in the division I think Farm have more potential to keep on improving from what they achieved last year.

Not sure about Div 2, I was impressed with Raptors when I last saw them, and Fulham, Inter and Gully will all be strong no doubt. I also have a feeling Vista will return to top 4 this year too with Stuey coaching.

Sun DIV 2

1. Raptors - were unlucky to miss out last year. Quality quality quality.
2. Gully - New coach should get them in line. He hates to lose more than I do.
3. Vista or Inter (yet another Brad French cup). Brad would love this, getting to see his name on some form of trophy.

Good luck to the Vista boys but what is the story with only 7 turning up for the game with the gardens? BULLDOG or SPELLOW can you enlighten or is mind your own fat muscat your final answer DAVE?

9. Bosna - I hope, generally struggle away from home for obvious reasons.
10. Pumas - Is that meat head still playing up front?
Care to elaborate Mr Fatguts?

I think he's meaning that loose canon you have in the b's, you know the one that has the little blonde bit at the back and kinda looks like he wants to eat your children..... basically an absolute loony

I'm not gonna put exact predictions but i think the teams to beat will be Vista, TTG and Inter while Pumas and Croatia will struggle. Bosna i feel will be the suprise packet.

If thats the case - yea long gone.

We've deliberately kept it low key thus far. But there is definately have a new feel at Thomas Turner Reserve over the past few months with nearly more new faces than old.
We have secured numerous new club sponsors and are well on the way to having a real crack at '08.

Numbers have been consistently overwhelming all through pre-season, without any suggestion of dwindling motivation amongst this year's playing group throughout what has definately been a much more intense pre-season schedule.

Even when no-one else wanted to go ahead with trial games 2 weeks ago because it was 40 in the shade, we were out there playing out a full-stripped and umpired internal.

Too early to be making any educated judgements about September division status just yet.

Be thankful you got a changeroom. When I played there a few years ago we had to get changed in front of some big family reunion gathering (Ingho gave them a hell of a shock) and get our rub downs on a picnic table.

Can't do much about the local council facilities that we hire.
Have to wait until they figure it's time to rennovate and upgrade...

The last few times I've played you guys you had a couple of quick wingers, allbeit in the reserves I thought they may have taken the step up. Then again, its all relative, my grandmother seems quick at times, particularly when i swear at family functions.
