PARA HILLS EAST vs PARA HILLS WEST [15:00]
WEST BEACH vs INGLE FARM [15:00]
ELIZABETH VALE vs SALISBURY FLORINA [15:00]
USC LION vs PONTIAN EAGLES [15:00]
ELIZABETH DOWNS vs PARAFIELD GARDENS [15:00]

Some cracking games to get the season kick started....

Early thoughts?

Redders, you set up the tipping site yet?

Downs V Gardens, I guess the league wants to get the year off with a bang, generally the fireworks happen at the end of the season, not in round one...

Downs Vs Gardens Round 1.

How did the SAASL come up with this 2 years in a row!!!

It will be a good game but with the heat and Im sure all clubs are the same an interupted pre season (Trial games getting postponed, shortened or Cancelled)

BOTH teams will be a little underdone Im sure, Ive played against the Downs and Gardens this year in trial games.

Gardens have a new coach and an injection of fresh new players as well as retaining most from last year.

The Downs are in the same boat retained a few and signed a couple of good ones.

The pitch worries me (Sorry to the Downs) but its just not up to hosting a game like this. To Dry, Bumpy, Sandy, Uneven.

It will be very Interesting and predicting a scoreline without being biased (From both sides supporters) would be hard.

Who will get the first bragging rights of 2008!!! Time will tell.

Here's an unbiased prediction Downs 5-1 Gardens.
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

what a way to start the season, always good fun playing gardens on and off the pitch. Im sure Benny Aldridge will be looking forward to coming up against his old club and Im sure he will get the last laugh, I also hope Foatey & Golder are fit for it cause the Downs army love to give these 2 a bit of stick...Bring it on bitches, Downs to win 5 zip leaving old mate nugget crying in his beer

I doubt they will be playing as I heard Shane or Foatey was out for at least a couple more weeks? Im sure that Benny will be loving it because I think Downs will win 2-0 and he may be playing in a championship this year.....
