Totti: Euro refs don't help Inter

Francesco Totti is causing more controversy, as he accused Inter of failing in Europe “because the referees there aren’t conditioned.”

The Roma captain has repeatedly hinted the Nerazzurri have benefited from refereeing decisions in the Serie A race.

Now he has turned his attention on the fact that Inter have slumped out of the Champions League, having received four red cards in seven games.

“The European referees treat Inter differently,” he told Rete Sport. “For them, Inter or Liverpool are two clubs like any other, it makes no difference. Those referees can officiate without being conditioned.”

The comments are bound to stir up further controversy after teammate Daniele De Rossi infuriated Inter President Massimo Moratti last week.

De Rossi claimed if it weren’t for refereeing errors then “Roma would be top of the table” and suggested “we have no control over Inter’s wins. The trouble is I don’t think Inter do, either.”

Meanwhile, Roma are the only Italian team left in the Champions League and are also just six points adrift of the Serie A leaders.

“This is a better season than the last, when Inter killed off Serie A,” continued Totti.

“We want to go all the way in the Champions League and close the gap on Inter. It’s a shame certain incidents did not go our way, but that’s alright, we’ll keep going. We believe we can do it.”

for once i agree with the riommanista... Inter dont have the help as they do in Serie A.

Totti and De Rossi can say what they like about the refeeres and Inter, but the fact remains that they are second.
They lost against Siena, Juventus, Inter (and they could not go past a draw against them) and drew against other teams. Inter lost only one game.
Blaming the refeeres is just an excuse. Refeeres mistakes work both ways by the end of the season (unless you are the Juventus team from two years ago and previous seasons).

hills you are wrong.

referees are people like u or me, they have their favourite teams, personal feelings towards players that they have had previous experiences with, etc.

inter, being seen as "the most effected" by calciopoli, and moratti, complaining like a little girl all the time about other scudetti that should be his because of techincalities... referees feel sorry for inter. milan, like the rest of the teams that have played inter, havent been given any favors in about 10-15 of their games this year.

Inter are scum.. they have no right 2 play in Serie A

they should play in the argentine league and spend there money there instead of giving Serie A a bad name

and Rosella Sensi is an ugly dog so can hardly be considered Italian.
