Obviously silverware but respect from opposition would have to be up there...

True, probably should have used the Salisbury Inter website history though,
rather than a history written by Downs members (me & my bro.)!

Sorry, disregard the comment above, the Salisbury Inter website seems to have vanished into the ether !

Obviously success and enjoyment. Nothing like winning and having your mates there to celebrate with by drinking Jagerbombs out of the cup! :)

Respect is definately something that we as a club strive for both on and off the pitch. Respect within a club and from outside the club helps in attracting sponsors and new players.

Maybe as a player Hawk, you don't care about been respected but I'm sure your club does.

I'm sure they do. On the personal level, I guess it would depend on a definition of respect. I certainly don't care about people thinking I'm a decent bloke, I have the friendship of my team mates, I don't care about the opinion of my opposition (in that definition of respect). If it's respect me as a player and my ability, and the fact that I play the game hard but fair(ish) then I guess I do.
