SAWSA
So lets find a new Anton! The clubs should get together and dot point their main concerns and raise this with SAWSA. The clubs should stand firm over what they want and demand action. The majority would rule.
I don't advercate clubs being a problem to SAWSA for the safe of being a problem, but if this brings to the attention of the officials that all clubs believe the direction is not correct or whatever then this is the way to go. Speak directly about the issues, all of them and suggest conclusions etc to fixing them.
All pull in the same direction without favour to any club is a help.

Notts County Football Club the oldest and still the best. Black and White magic

People continually bring up about players leaving the state, do they have names. Stacey Day has been mentioned and she answered for herself.
Di Alagich moved to Sydney to be closer to Matilda's training, and also has a Government job outside football. There are other girls took up Student Athlete Scholarships in the NCAA in USA and are using their abilities to get 4 years of University Education and obtain a degree, which will be helpful to their future. Their scholarships are based on continual academic achievement and not just their football prowess. They are treated as students who play soccer(in USA).
Leaving the State or taking another path is a personal decision for a player.
Those going interstate are going because they are either in Australian squads or on the cusp.

Re: ITS TIME SAWSA WAS ACCOUNTABLE
I don't think SAWSA is perfect but a lot of your "issues" seem a bit petty to me. If you want to pay double the fees, maybe we can get another full time employee down at the SAWSA office. No way do we want to hand control over to FFSA.
I know from running a club, that if I ran around trying to keep everyone happy none of the big things would get done and you can never keep everyone totally happy anyway. You want to get all the clubs together and make a change. I don't think we would ever be able to all agree on almost any issue. Then you're back to square one with disgruntled individuals unhappy and complaining about it.
There is delegate representation and I think, reasonable consultation.

What a stupid misinformed bloody comment.
We're all in jobs where we're accountable. Not come up with an excuse and say...put fees up and we'll get another employee...! If I was in charge I would be looking at who I've got in there and see what kind of job they're doing. Maybe they are the one’s that need the rocket. For crying out its not the EPL here.
If coming under FFSA's (aren't they already??) umbrella is what’s needed and will provide more resources then GREAT!

Re: ITS TIME SAWSA WAS ACCOUNTABLE
When was the last time you went to a delegates meeting SAD GAL? Maybe if you're got more involved you'd be better informed yourself. I think we all want to see women's soccer progress in this state and the only way to do it is to GET INVOLVED and perhaps not stand on the sidelines being belligerent.
If you think women's soccer is going to be better off coming under the FFSA structure I think you're sadly mistaken with the current proposal they have put to SAWSA. The fact that you're not even sure if SAWSA is under the FFSA to me speaks a thousand words.
Stop complaining and get involved, whether it be at your club level or at a SAWSA level. People have already written in this thread that there were vacancies on the board this year and people were elected unopposed.
I think there are issues just as large as good players leaving the state for better opportunities.
Hope to hear your new ideas at the next delegates meeting SAD GAL.

Too late. SAWSA is under the FFSA like it or not.
Peace Out XD
Re: ITS TIME SAWSA WAS ACCOUNTABLE
Wrong! SAWSA operate out of FFSA offices but that's where it ends. We're not a part of FFSA yet, it has not been voted on by the Delegates.
SAWSA have been getting us to complete FFA forms for registration purposes to facilitate a smooth transitition over to FFSA should the vote occure mid-way through a season.

And you think I'm misinformed. I don't agree with YOU - therefore I must be wrong.SAD GAL wrote: If coming under FFSA's (aren't they already??) umbrella is what’s needed and will provide more resources then GREAT!
Learn a little more about the structure of football in South Australia and then we might be able to discuss the issues. The last proposal put on the table would see women's soccer with almost no representation what-so-ever. And you think you have got it tough now.
The attitude that “the grass is always greener” is just ignorant.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about this issue. I'm quite confident FFSA are not running anything at this stage. There are plans to come on board but at this stage SAWSA and many delegates are not happy with the proposed representation for women's football under the current FFSA structure outlined. This exact point was raised at the SAWSA annual general meeting.
Please share what info you might have on this issue man u?
