I'm an AC fan but I'm starting to take a certain pride in them losing, because it's gonna take a few reality checks before Berlusconi and co realise that they need to buy some new players.

I'm not a really big believer that the best team wins the champions league each season (as once it gets to knockouts there's a lot of luck involved) and I honestly think last year AC were pretty lucky to win it, and it sort of made their lack of investment in new players look justified. This season with their serie A results and CL knockout hopefully it's a huge kick in the ass to those in charge.

And full credit to Arsenal, it's always good to see a team playing beautiful football win, even when AC lose.

Last time Im check, mid table team meant 10/11 position
Oh thats right, EPL only real has 8 decent teams in it!
Where are you going with this?

Your the one that said Arsenal beat a mid table team in AC Milan. AC Milan are 5th in Serie A just like Liverpool are in the EPL.

Yes, it is good to see a fellow fan that is able to admit when his team has been outplayed.

Without taking anything away from Arsenal though, this kind of result was inevitable. Milan winning the champions league last year simply masked the fact that Milan were in desperate need of reinforcement, this years early exit from the competition will hopefully be for the best and will work as a wakeup call to the whole club/management. Im sure (unless Galliani and co. are completely ignorant) that the reinforcements required will arrive and the rossoneri will be able to compete on all fronts next year.

I don’t want to sound like a bitter loser, but I feel many arsenal supporters on here are jacking a bit too hard about being in the quarter finals, start celebrating when you win the final.. not now. And before you start telling me I’m only saying this because my team is out I can tell you…I am only 18 and during my lifetime Milan have played in 8 champions league finals and won 5. Achieve that then than start calling yourself ‘superior’ to ACM, you cant do that because of the result of one game. (not saying arsenal cant do that by the way  )

Congratulations arsenal, won convincingly playing attractive football.

agreed ac need to inject some youth ASAP,

i disagree with ya forza as a kid growing up in a VERY non sporting family it took me a while "to find my feet" as a football fan and knowing that i have strong italian heritage i chose to follow a team within the sA and every sunday morning straaight after the NHL highlights they would have a 1 hour Italian football highlight show, and to be honest i dint enjoy what i saw any where near what i would see on monday evening on the epl highlight show. obviously thats my opinion but then you look at europe and you see that there is the possability that there will 4 teams into the next stage of both european comps. and has been very similar for a few years now. please dont regard this as a anti italian league "rant" let alone any other league but from my view epl is the strongest(followed very closely by spanish) league in the world, i believe that would be the view of many un biased supporters as well.....

although i could be wrong :D

I love watching the EPl, I support Man U but technically, the Serie A is much beta - skill level wise
CAPISCE, ur whats "do u understand" in Malaysian?????
You speak for everyone do you? A worldwide audience will disagree with you. Go to any neutral country or continent and you will see people walking around in EPL tops. How many non italians do you see wearing Serie A tops around the streets compared to EPL. Very little if any.
Yeah Serie A games are not easily viewable as EPL games and the reason is because there is no demand for it, especially in A country like Australia. You don't see tv companies fighting for the rights to show Serie A, probably because no non Italians would watch it.
Get over yourself. People have different opinions, and for the record, I would rather watch Wigan v Derby than the Milan derby. My personal preference that so don't take it personally will you.
Great work Gunners, even though I dispise you guys
why would major TV companies bid big $oldi for a cabernet quality footage. So EPL is popular in Asia and in Australia. majority of people in those countries dont know cabernet about the game so judging the quality of a league on their opinions is stupid.

Look at Europe and Sth America, Serie A and La Liga cover almost all of the football news and sports pages. Even the average European and South American knows plenty about the game, so their opinion matters.

and personally I'd rather watch 2 italian girls kick a ball around in the mud than Man U vs. Arsenal. At least the chicks are hot and know how to keep the ball on the ground.

HA !!! This coming from you, of all people !!!!
I agree 100% with your above quote, but,(correct me if i'm wrong)

You are the one who buys their club tops, brags about it, and openly supports them.
I don't want to argue with you but, would you be making these comments if your beloved Man. Utd. beat AC Milan ??
Your comments are very hipocritical.

Now children no need to abuse people in another language.

I feel very hurt. Actually hang on I think I felt contact, yes I must have. I must roll around now and scream in agony like the prancing pansy that I am, screaming for mother and some of that magic water to make me better. Oh no cramp, must cry like a little bitch now for another 5 minutes rolling around in agony whilst also breaking a fingernail. This pain is unbearable.

Oh well, I can always get a guernsey in Seria A with antics like this.

Say all you want about who does better in the UCL and UEFA etc but the Premiership will continue to gain quality players. The Foreigners from other national teams are better than the average player in the Serie A.

Africa has a pop of approx 0.9billion. Most of the best of these players play in England, a pretty elite bunch : Drogba, Toure, Essien, Ade + All those other French/Africans etc. could name alot more.

Spains Elite - Cesc, Torres, Alonso, Arteta
Germany's Captain and Keeper,
Portion of the French national team
Berbatov, Van Persie, Keane, Eduardo, Benjani, Alves, Sheva, Anelka...the list goes on.

Spain have got the direct link with South America so they will always be getting their fair share of Superstars from Portugal, Argentina and Brazil but look at recent times. Tevez, Masher, Anderson, Nani, Ronaldo, Elano, denilson are starting to play in England.

In my opinion any of the top 3 in England could win the Serie A in a canter.

sorry to say mate but i totally disagree.

Those English clubs would find it so difficult to travel to the lower clubs in Serie A. Every away game is tough for the big clubs hence why teams like Juve drop points at Reggina etc.

Arsenal would be fine, we keep possesion well enough.

I don't Honestly Believe Chelsea with 19 internationals in their squad would have any trouble. Drogba/Anelka/Sheva would tear them to shreds. If Drog goes to Milan we will see him in action next year.
Ballack/Lamps/Makalele/Essien/Mikel/Cole/SWP + they can defend well.

plus Italy's best striker = Germany
Zambrotta and Cannavaro = Spain
Left Back = France

yeah but that's what you don't realise, the depth in Serie A is ridiculous. Those 4 players you mentioned are abroad but those 4 players have also got replacements which play Serie A.

Chiellini, Quagliarella, Barzagli etc etc

possibly if they got an Italian coach, Italian fitness trianer and dropped a few more Englishmen.

A weakened Fiorentina took care of Everton. Fiorentina 30 points off winning Serie A but still Fiorentina probably have a better chance of winning EPL than Serie A.

However I'm the first to admit EPL in the last 3 seasons have closed the massive gap that existed between la liga & Serie A when EPL formed. It only took Foreign Investment and 10 years to do it. Bravo.

I blame Zola, Di Canio & Benito Carbone as they showed the English the meaning of skill.
