Grove vs Downs Trial 24/2

was a good game for the Grove, very physical, which is what we needed

game finished 1-1

reserves won 2-1 and C grade lost 3-1

Thanks to all the Downs supporters for supporting our bar during and after the game

Downs have drawn to two lower division teams now. Whats going on?

Wouldn't read much into preseason games. We beat them a few times when we were in lower divisions during preseason.

Butler did play yesterday, also heard that Brooks has signed with Northern demons as a player as well as Adelaide based coach?

Grove looked quite sharp, should do ok in Div 2!

Yeah Butler played, heard Brooks gone walkabout, Fuda will be playing soon, unsure bout Reeves!

not as useless as the whole kit you got on ebay 4 15 bucks would have to be the worst strip in the groves history. And yes thats the story that was doing the rounds they brought this monstosity of a strip for 15 bucks on ebay. I reckon they got ripped off especially when it cost,s them 300 bucks to put numbers on them...Since when do the peckers play in red, green and white with green and yellow socks i had to go home and whatch cheech and chong to come down from the vision...Other than that a good young side that should go close to promotion this year...Watched the Downs play sober and I can say I wont be doing that again this pre season..

Rumour has it that Flemington's jockeys' quarters got broken into last week and a fat man with a courier van was seen driving off after stuffing a load of silks into the back of it.............
