ABE will be the side to beat in 17As comp 2008. Cup finalists and top 2 championship placings in last 2 years (16s ). Team mostly intact and nice new pickps with some talent. Watch out Metro and AC , the BEs are out to get you. Forget what the 15As of last year (PH and others) did, this is a real 17s competion with players wanting to impress for 19s, Reserves and possibly even Seniors positions for their Club

TOP 3
ABE
AC
Metro

Forget the Rest :D

hahaha . blue eagles wernt even meant to be in the A's the only reason they are is cause toros pulled out into B's for some reason and you reckon blue eagles will finish infront of AC and metro not to mention all the other decent teams in 17as this year matte ur a joke.

Reserve and Senior Positions????   ... if anyone thinks they are good enough to play at these levels, you wouldn't be playing 17s... and i doubt senior coaches would spend much time on a sunday morning looking for the next big thing in the 17s.

- They lost 4 of there best players to the 19s.....

- Maybe for 19s but i doubt for reserves and seniors lol.....p.s the 19s, Reserves, and 1st team have full squads with maybe even a couple 19s players coming down sometimes because of a lack of match fitness

The only joke is you. You tool.

ABE have beaten the so called 'best' team in the league and the almighty A. City was beaten by strikers. ABE have set themselves up very nicely after this result and they have now made themselves real contenders along with Para.

i as a father dont care if they win or lose - my son plays for them and i reckon its the best $600 ive spent. I didnt really know about the coach until he joined a couple of months ago. i had heard of him. then i find out my sons got a coach whos played serie a including in uefa cup final for parma and got a uefa-b coaching license. And he is learning how to defend properly! they could be in the b's or c's doesnt matter

So you mean along with Adelaide Hills, Western Strikers, Cumberland and Campbelltown - who also won yesterday.

It's far too early to tell.

DP for ABE is the best 17s coach in the A Division. Played and has had success at the highest level. Do I need to say anymore.Thought MZ had the goods for AC, but lost his first match. Ask the players and parents, $600 is cheap for coaching quality.

Errr..... please inform me what MZ has done to deserve the tag of "coaching quality"?

You are bracketing him with DP and if memory serves, MZ never played higher than Under 16's, never even played in the amatuer league!

So again, what has he done to be labeled "coaching quality"? I remember Campbelltown turning over his team last year by quite a margin.
