The first team game ended up 2-2, and Iggies won 3-1 in the Reserves. A good first hitout for us with quite a few new faces, but Iggies were much fitter than us and dominated for periods of the match.

There is actually a group of guys who hire the ground out on Sundays, and Iggies asked them for permission to play on the ground so don't think the council will be an issue.

is the pitch at windsor gardens really that bad. get your northern super coach out with some grass seed at training on tuesday. At least it's better than getting the helicopter out to your usual place.

now the helicopter only comes out on special occasions, like trips to hahndorf

but yeah the pitch wasn’t the best, hopefully transferring to the footy pitch (much better surface) for the season proper

Are you playing at your training ground all season now then, rather that at the school then. That makes a move look promising, VERY close to me and I can get a lift with that "northern super coach" who I saw today walking with his missus and the boy.

For a first serious hitout it wasnt too bad, the pitch is pretty ordinary, but like scuba said we should be moving to the footy pitch which is alot better. We still have some serious fitness work to do and with a few new players unavailable on the weekend we should only get better.
