yeah but he has won
a world cup and was in the 1994 squad that won the world cup to all though he didnt feature was on the bench for a few games
3 time copa america winner i think not sure about this 1 at least 2 time winner any way
all time leading goal scorer in world cup history
3 time fifa world player of the year
2 time ballon d'or winner
so on a personal level has succeeded probably more then any one and for his national team has also enjoyed alot of success
I speak nothing but the truth

The weight gain was a bit disappointing, but remember he was diagnosed hypothyroid recently which probably had a lot to do with it.

I just wonder how good he would have been without the injuries...Youngest ever world player of the year, and he might have even won three in a row if he hadn't had that fit before the 98 final.

Kind of sad the way things ended for him, but still he was beautiful to watch in his prime.

Who has won more than 1?

Pele won 2.
Mattheus won 2
must be some more brazilians as well, (any other germans)
presumably some italians as well.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Playing the 'better than England card" again 97. I'd get that inferiority complex looked at if I was you.

We didn't bother playing in the early competitions of the Jules Rimet as the competition wasn't strong enough.

It's a bit like, who are the current aussie rules world champions?

Matthaus only one

Other than Meazza and co of the 30's and Garrincha and co from the 50's can't think of anyone else.

Not an inferiority complex, I could spend all weekend trying to come up with one reason why I should feel inferior and I'd come up with a blank everytime. :P

I just see it upon myself to educate the non English on why they shouldn't follow the EPL despite it being forced down your throat in this country.

Have to admit it's a losing battle with all the foreign investment they get :(

Plus I know whenever I flick the line out you're sure to give me a run 8)

Yeah I like the "We didn't bother playing in the early competitions of the Jules Rimet as the competition wasn't strong enough" comment. Only the English would come up with such a line, yet history tells us England's first tournament and the scoreline reads USA 1 - England 0.

Funnier still was most of the Brits thought it was a misprint

The sun never sets on the British Empire. Whatever country you are from has ever had such a large empire. We invented just about every important sport and a fair few of the inventions that make your life as easy as they are today.

I just see it upon myself to educate the non English on why they shouldn't follow the EPL despite it being forced down your throat in this country.
I don't follow the EPL, so you have 1 less to convert, and I'm certainly English.

facts are we lost that game, beat Chile 2-0 though. The fact remains the reason we didn't play until then was because we didn't deem it good enough. As I said what nationality are the world cup winners for aussie rules? We all know they're not the best in the world though?

Funnier still was most of the Brits thought it was a misprint
Funny how the only vision of the game is the goal, i still say we must have lost 10 goals in editing.

ok if you want specific then for Brasil it's
Gilmar, Djalma Santos, Garrincha, Nilton Santos and Vava

and for Italy only the duo from the magnificent club known as FC Internazionale Milano Giuseppe Meazza and Giovanni Ferrari represented Italy in both finals.

Hawkesy preach what you will of the Brits, your people could find the answer for world hunger for all I care but trust me I'll never feel inferior to the Brits.
Just look at your women for starters. No wonder why alcoholism is such a problem in your country. Not only do they not look the part they can't cook either. But you can't blame them, not much on offer to get dolled up about is there, unless they live in a tourist destination.......and who knows why anyone would WANT to holiday in Ingerland........gees I could go on forever :P

Women, well isn't the English bird beating the aussie in the poll on the other forum, keira knightley - anyone who doesn't find her attractive must be gay.

And you're right not much on offer, I'm over here now.
