Junior Keepers
Anyone have an idea on why the keepers seem to be fairly thin this year?
In years past it was possible to have at least 2 keepers per team now you struggle to find them, and this year with new teams coming into JPL the player pool appears lower?

I have to agree with you Spatrs. Generally the coach preference of keeper’s is a field player and this player generally required more on the pitch than the goals.
I believe this is generally due to the fact that the players that could play as keeper do not have the agility and reflex to play keeper. They also lack the ability to read the play.
This is all due to lack of training available to Keepers.
There’s not many clubs that run training programs just for keepers. This is an area that clubs should look into as most keepers are trained with the complete team, which means that there is minimal, or no time spent on keeper tactics.
