FULHAM UNITED PRE-SEASON 2008

Post by bigpond »

Much better start than 2007.

Much more organised this year - A's and B's coaches appointed already (As Lawry Sancilio and B's Tony Garoboli).

Turn out has been 20 or so in 1st couple of weeks and best part has been the new faces - 6 or 7.

There is not going to be any rash predictions but the signs are looking good early on.

Training Tues and Fri at 7pm and Sun 9am (Valetta Rd, Fulham Gardens) until 1st pre season game on Feb 24th.

Also good to hear Fulham has at least 1 junior boys team admitted to FFSA league and possibly 1 or 2 more ranging from U10's to 12's.

There seems to be a good atmosphere out at fulham this preseason which has been helped with some new faces at the Club. All looks well for the coming season.

How are you allowed to enter the FFSA Junior comp and not have any seniors in with the FFSA.

Other clubs without seniors have been forced to take the teams out have'nt they?

Or are you only restricted to the lower junior divisions?

Slav Cafuta going around again this season? Seems to go okay for a 43 yo (44 later this year).

I'd be happy if i was in his current shape at 43 that's for sure! He is a machine!!

I've been impressed with the setup down at fulham so far. perhaps one of the main differences between saturday and sunday sides is the approach and conduct of the clubs off field. sunday sides are miles ahead in this area.

FFS there's even a professional waterboy down there!

I also hear boys that the same waterboy you are dissing is also assistant coach at Fulham this year. Lets just say he might make your lives misery out there.

Thanks for the hit out guys, we were defitnely a little rustier than you were. Blue Mastiff's shirt may have fit but Spiros is still on his back, we have been unable to remove it at this stage :D

Good Luck to you lads for the season.

Good to hear Fulham on track with a good win first up. Apparently the Big Mass stiff made a low key return to the Black and Whites and showed some signs that he could be pushing for a regular berth up front in the reserves next to the enigmatic J. Adami . That duo would put fear into any defence ! It was good to see the big man was able to take a weekend off and suit up for Fusc, away from his usual dirty weekends in all of all places Encounter Bay ! Yeah im sure he has plenty of sordid encounters alright ...

Vigilante cannot refuse the Fulham Fri night barbies.

The 1st one won him over and that was the clincher.

Seriously though good pick up for Fulham and I would say Ga Pala had to do a bit of sweet talking to get him to move to Fulham - living round the corner from the ground helps as well.
