A professional club. Is it just me or did he look a bit heavy out there?

Certainly didn't look like he was boasting a ripped physique.
He has played every game this year for Celtic and is very fit.
So I didnt see his stomache in the flesh after the game. But the shirt was effin tight on him and didnt do him any justice.
Celtic's strip isnt that tight on him and he certainly DOESN'T look heavy when he plays for celtic.

Are you kidding, Qatar arent even on the map, New Zealand would probably get that result.

only the result matters, 9 points from home games and we will go through to the next phase.

after our Asian Cup debacle we have no right to underestimate any Asian opponent

what scared me most (other than mcdonalds profile) was qatars ability to carve us up on the break in the second half.

this gun ho approach would give most 'italian' coaches a heart attack. the very trait capello is going to try and eliminate fom the england team.

Some pepole are never satisfied.

Scott did as he was told by Pim - that's one of his strengths - the ability to sacrifice his own game for the team.
Why else do you think Pim kept him on the field?

He was constantly making runs and drawing defenders away from the ball to open up the defence - that's called team work!

WGT, you are right and wrong about McDonald. Me personally, i dont like the kid but credit where credit is due and he worked his asssss off all night. Ive never ever seen someone carrying that much weight actually do that amount of running. On the down side, dont anyone tell me he is not carrying weight because the dude as i see it is fat for a Professional Football player. Also, he aint going to save us by scoring goals because he aint that type of player. Now before someone goes on about his scoring record for Celtic, i havent seen any of his goals for them but after watching him last night, i suspect he gets most of his goals from tap ins and being at the right place at the right time. Good on him for that and i sincerely hope he gets into the right places for Australia as well, but i just dont see him as a prolific goalscorer.

Onto the game, and some of you blokes should be ashamed of yourselves about you going on that it wasnt good enough. Australia last night played a fantastic first half, and probably the best half of Football i have seen them play for a very long time. They used the flanks beautifully, there passing was excellent and some of the passages of play were Football of the highest quality. Im still however not convinced about our defence. Lucas Neil looks too slow for my liking and you know we have problems in defence when Craig Moore comes off and Verbeek cant even replace him with a decent defender and has to push Brett Emerton into a Central defensive position.

With last nights performance, Australia should have no problems qualifying through this group and should do so very easily. We need another quality defender to come from somewhere very quickly because i see us conceding goals as easily as we score them but from an attacking point of view, Verbeek is right on the money, hes sorted that out pretty damn quickly and pretty damn effectively i'd say.

Cullina was best on ground without a shadow of a doubt and Brescianos celebration after his goal was world class, the best ive seen, but someone needs to tell him, he is not one of the 300 Spartans :D

Culina best on ground. I watched from the 30th min mark and in the 70th i had to ask if Culina started and where he was.

clearly your observational skills are lacking

culina was brilliant in a non-favoured position
