Olympiakos defeated Iraklis 2-1.
Can be said a lucky win.
Down 1-0 with two late goals for the Reds. Then a great goal by Iraklis to make it 2-2 and a fair result but ruled out by the paid officials. Typical. Will need to perform better against Chelsea or concede another 7 ala Juve.

HELLENIC, surely you can find a better excuse as to why the mighty Olympiakos just keep finding ways of winning other than the one that has been done to death ie paying the refs

Now look here, forget about the player that was margainally onside when the ball was played, because he missed the header by about 5metres.

Keep you eye on the goal scorer, who starts his run 3-4metres behind the defensive line..........but is flagged for offside.

Where are your excuses now??

Like you blokes are friken one eyed anti Olympiakos and fair enough but hows this right, in every Football league of the world whether it be the
Alpha Ethniki in Greece, or the friken Div 10 SAASL here in Soth Australia, we see those decisions every bloody week and you blokes know it and thats why the refereeing standard all over the world is not up to scratch, it just happens that its worse in certain leagues ie the A-League for example.
Now to sit there and say that 1 decision of 1 game in 1 league of the world is because of a payed official is just friken stupid, childish and goes to show you how much bad sports you blokes are. You guys not only complain when Olympiakos play against your pathetic Clubs, you also complain when they play against teams you dont even support. Build a friken Bridge and get over it.
The passive offside rule has been causing problems from the day they introduced it and plenty, and i mean plenty of fark ups have occured because of misinterpretation or a misunderstanding of how the rule actually works. Taking that into consideration, im hardly surprised that a Greek official got it wrong. Here we had a supposedly A grade English referee in the World Cup who didnt even realise he had given a guy 3 Yellow cards before he sent him off (WC06 Cro v Aus), but your telling me that a ref was paid off for a wrong offside decision which happen every bloody week???

neither the scorer or the player flagged were offside.
in any case the benefit of the doubt is given to the team.

col, you dont get it do you. here it is ill explain it all in simple terms for you.
no one accuses olympiakos of paying refs.......its done more discretely.

when a ref makes a bad decision, he is scrutunised infront a panel of superleague officials (incindently chaired by petros kokkalis), in which case they will suspend the ref if they deem his perfomance to be poor. so imagine if a 50/50 decision goes against olympiakos that effects the result. The ref has a family to feed, imagine you were suspended without pay for 3 weeks.

do you see how - like akis zikos said - that refs sht themselves vs Olympiakos. the are intimidated to make a big call against them. and this is a fact.

Agree Col the refs standard is poor, but really, week in week out most errors favour Olympiakos. I think Kop sumed it up pretty well.

Aek 2-1 down against Asteras, giant killers claim their third victim of the "big three", very impressed with Asteras who could have even been top of the league if they had a few more wins instead of draws, Kop i told u that u would drop points didnt i? from top to 3rd even though very close but we are yet again halfway champions
