Socceroos midfielder joins Leeds

January 05, 2008 AUSTRALIA midfielder Neil Kilkenny joined English League One side Leeds on loan from Birmingham.
Kilkenny signed on an emergency loan with a view to completing a permanent transfer early next week and hopes to make his debut against Northampton.
The 22-year-old was born in England but raised in Brisbane. He made his international debut for the Socceroos in a friendly against Liechtenstein in 2006 and helped his country qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
