Adelaide Football Movie - Offside
There is going to be a full length film based on a local football story being made in Adelaide in early 2008.
The movie's story is based around following the plight of an amateur league team.
It has been put together by some talented but struggling local film makers who have devoted a lot of time and their own funds to get the movie off the ground. Several local companies are providing them with some support to help defray some of the considerable costs but I understand most of the funds are coming out of their own pockets.
During the filming they will be seeking extras. They will need crowd extras for their "grand final" match at a local ground. I shall advise details once the timing is confirmed.
I understand they are also looking for some very skillful players to assist in doing the technical football components - body doubles.
Adelaide United is providing support for the film with one or two players likely to make cameo appearances in the movie.
Once I get some further details I will post them here.
If your interested in providing them any form of support - financial, logistical etc then I can quickly put you in touch with them.

Don't apologize Aldo, you're right, they wanted an amateur feel for the movie but they still needed a professional approach.Aldo Serena wrote:It's about an amateur team, so they needed amateur facilities to match! I guess shooting a movie at Merdan is more suited to dinosaur story line!
Sorry, I couldn't resist EITHER, and if Milkyway and Merson are to professional to engage in tit for tat, it's then left to me, and I still have a soft spot for this progressive young club.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, see you in the new year for coffee

The budget for the movie was under 100k. An extremely low budget for a full length movie.
Its the work of local Adelaide film maker Carlo Petracarro - its his first full length movie. Has done a few short films but not a full length movie.

Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:
Colossus: One House
Costa: One Lunch
Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".
