but it was against west ham, my mum could score against them. A bit like ronaldo turned it on in a cup final in 2004 and was by far the best player on the pitch, but it was against Millwall.10 wrote:fuck, my bad.Hawkesy wrote:west ham and olymiakos :?
He said BIG games.
for a second there i thought scoring in the last minute of the FA Cup Final and scoring the winner to progress through the group stage of the CL was doing well in a BIG game.
Cristiano Ronaldo vs Liverpool

Utd don't play in Salford, they play in Old Trafford which used to be in Manchester before the boundary changes of 1974. Now it's in Trafford Borough, but try telling the locals that. They still think themselves as Mancs.Hawkesy wrote:I'm not talking about closer to the CBD at all.Mighty Ger & Son wrote:Your obviously talking about whos closer to the cbd, if so, then yes city are, but you can hardly say united are not in the manchester area.
Yes, man utd do play in the manchester area but not IN manchester.
City play in the City of Manchester
Utd play in the City of SALFORD!!
He is one of the best players in the premier league but it doesn't hide the fact that he plays well against west ham, millwall and fulham but not against liverpool, chelsea, arsenal etc..ronaldo07 wrote:Please refer to best EPL 11 ..
everyone hav ronaldo in their team .. thanks .. bye
Thierry Henry was another one, went missing in the big games. So did George Best, but he was Miss England, Miss World....

his record is great against the big clubs in the EPL.
two solo goals one against poo and spuds
a brace vs USA and Chelski.
that volley and a cracker shot vs USA
Everyone has this theory he went missing the big EPL games, but he didn't.
He scored regularly against the big sides.

yeh and ronaldinho did heaps well too????Hawkesy wrote:How did he play in Europe? Did he even play in the CL final? Oh yes, he was the one missing all those sitters.

That double vs Inter at the San Siro
that goal vs Real Madrid
goal vs Juve and that free kick vs them 3 years earlier.
everyone seems to forget so easily what this guy did for Arsenal.

The onyl time I have seen Ronaldinho play was at stamford bridge. Well I'm told he was playing anyway, I'll have to check the program, such was his anonymity.Rigoni 10 wrote:yeh and ronaldinho did heaps well too????![]()

I am probably the most biased England supporter on here, but I think even we'd lose to Euro side.pires7 wrote:Well at the last Euro v England they were chanting where are you to Henry and he made the desicive move to get the penalty to win them the game.

would u rather a player who only plays gd in big games?Hawkesy wrote:Can't believe people are defending Ronaldo's ability to go missing in big games. :?
I guess some people can see now wrong in their own players. Ronaldo is no big game charlie and he dives. These are indisputable.
or a player who is consistant in all games?
we have lots of players in our team who can turn it on, so ronaldo wont always stand out
he is only 22... give him a couple of yrs
I'm not denying the guys ability. I saw him close hand in 2004 and our left back (robbie ryan) still has nightmares trying to mark him. Still would have loved to have seen him play against a non injured Kevin Muscat. The Portugues winker would only have got past him once.MUFCBOY wrote:would u rather a player who only plays gd in big games?Hawkesy wrote:Can't believe people are defending Ronaldo's ability to go missing in big games. :?

I don't like the bloke, that wink and the the problem he obviously has with his inner ears as well.
One of my favourite moments involving him was watching his face turn from celebration to panic after he realised he was celebrating his goal in front of the Millwall fans.

BUT After all of that, he's certainly no big game charlie.

Don't have access to You Tube on anything like that at work. Sorry!Rigoni 10 wrote:post the goal would ya hawkesy!!!!
If you do see it, watch Dennis Wise just let him go and then blames Neil Harris for the goal after the game. Good manager that, publicly blaming a player for a goal that was your fault. :?
