and he wasn't even that good. Our Harold had him jumping around like the coward he was.

Incidentally, my grandfather in law agrees with you from the one time he met him.

Can't deny the average

Keith Miller was the personality of that era, my personal favourite!

Don just had his heart set on Australian players not getting payed for their services, even in the 70's! lucky the Chappell's stood up to him!

This is really clutching at straws. The flag of Milan actually represents Saint Ambrose, the patron saint of the city. Can people in Turkey who practice Islam and find it offensive actually respect the Catholic religious symbolism of the flag, rather than use religion to push a stupid agenda they don't deserve................Scamming points.

Look how his average dropped when people actually bowled properly at him. Larwood bowled in the same manner that Lee, Ambrose, Walsh, Akhtar... all bowl now. His average halved. A 50 average would be good now but not the greatest EVER.

Anyway, happy to take this conversation onto a PM and discuss fully. I have some strong view on this one but the MB is called FOOTBALL news.

This is just an example of the real differences between the Western/ Judeo/Christian culture and the Middle Eastern/Arabian/Muslim culture.

Our culture is based on personal responsibility for your actions and accepting that others may have different ideas and opinions.

Theirs is based on not being responsible for their actions - it is always someone elses fault if you make a mistake or lose - and not accepting anyone elsesideas and opinions.

must say, have you got any real evidence to back up that claim. Before this debate gets too theological, surely the media outlets in Australia, US backed will always present a daming view on the middle eastern countries and their religious beliefs!

Laziale, it is not a racist comment.

It is a statement of fact based on studying both the Bible and the Koran thoroughly.
I have also studied the Budhist and Hindu religions extensively.

It is all about approaching things with an open mind and unbiased viewpoint.

One of the reasons there is such distrust and hatred between these two cultures is the question of this very point.

You, and many like you, prevent any serious discussion on this topic to progress because whenever anyone from an English speaking background raises the subject you start screaming "racist, racist" instead of entering into an intelligent discourse.

Grow up!

can't say I've studied every religion but don;t see how you can put this down to race.

People of all cultures refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Milan lost a cup final once and some people blamed it on the fact that they weren't wearing white strips.

Did Fenerbahce complain? Did the players complain? No, some dickhead complained two weeks later that the top was offensive. He didn't say they lost the match cause of it.

It's racist when you start labeling muslim cultures as a whole as people who won't accept responsibility for their actions.

And before war breaks out between you two; can I just say that the chick on your Lazio signature looks like she could be fun.

Does that make me a sexist? Oh...

Laziale, as usual your first reaction is to shout 'racist' whenever anyone tries to talk seriously about a sensitive issue.
You may think you are being sensitive to the people you 'defend' but in reality you are being like the people who ban Christmas celebrations in Kindy's and Schools for fear of offending religious minorities.
When in reality those you are defending would rather you shut up and let the issues be dabated intelligently and without hysteria.

My comments were not racist, they were based on my research of a number of religions and DISCUSSIONS with members of these cultures.

It may surprise you but I have friends from many ethnic and religious groups, including 3 Muslims, 2Hindu's and 2 Budhists, with whom I have regular discussions on these very issues.

That's not to mention all the friends and aquaintances from the Italian and Greek communities and many others.

I do not comment on issues I know nothing about - unlike some on this forum.
