Why have players left Modbury ?
Just a bit curious to know why players selected during trials, end up leaving and going to another Club. Whats wrong with Modbury ?

Wizards, when you answer your own question it seems a bit pointless, why not just say what you know and be done with it.
Players trial at several clubs and then pick one after they get offers, it is a free market so the clubs have to work hard to make a good environment for kids / parents to want to be involved in.
The coach is a large part of that , but many other factors come into it as well.

Which players in particular are you talking about?????
Sounds like a bit of shiraz stirring against modbury AGAIN as if modbury is the only club that this happens to. I think not....

Sorry couldn't resist that one
(gonna get the cane again my boy!)
seeing only 2 posts including this one allows me to give a bit of advice, for free.
Your question is discussed time and time again on this forum at the end of the season.
Lots of reasons why, ranging from PARENTS, players - naturally - and loyalty from clubs & players.
The latter being the lack of it on BOTH parties over the years.
Fair question, though and like Liverpool_08 said, it is not just Modbury.
Been and seen both sides of the fence.
anyway i see the price of a sliced loaf has gone up by 10 cents this week :?

Hey wizards if you left coz ya didnt like the coach then good for you son..... No player at any level is bigger than the club and it is the club that appoints the coaches, if people aren't happy then shut up and move on...... Modbury as always will carry on and make decisions that at time will prove to be good and at times prove to be bad. That is just the way Football is....

get your head out of the sand
for all those knocking Modbury what about the 30 or so players they have recruited and you also need to get your heads out of the sand if you think it is one club. If you are so dismayed by the decisions made by any club get of you backsides and go and do something about it join the committee! - or is it to much like hard work.
You will see what running a club is all about then - were not playing because of the coach, I'm not paying for that, whay is my son not playing as much as him, I'm not running the BBQ I payed nearly $500. Then maybe you will understand EVERY club makes decisions bad or good if you are not happy play elsewhere.
No one player or person is bigger than the club and most clubs make desicions based on what they belive is good for the club.
As for players leaving duiring trials If you are selected in a team and you as a parent do not have the curtesy/guts to advise a club/coach you are trialing/going elsewhere I see that as a parent issue not a player issue.
At the end of the day we as parents do what we feel is best for our sons/daughters and base that on all the information we have in front of us I know many a parent who has got it wrong and many who got it right don't highlight one club over another many a story could be told about any club you want to mention.

Febergas only 2 maybe 3 went to Campbelltown and they followed thier coach from the previsous year who was at Modbury which they are entilteled to do and I dont think anybody has an issue with that.
There were no players in the 17s that stayed have dropped down.
The U16 players opted to play for the U16 (moving up from 15s in most cases) for there own reasons those that left chose to or there parents chose for them to leave for what ever reason.
The coach has gone a new coach is in place the club has some very good coaches so lets start looking elsewhere for our entertainment!

So you are involved with the club and know all that is going on or your a friend of a friend of a friend within the club. Did these friends trial for the 17s or did they make the decesion they did not want to because of the coach which they have every right as any player/parent does. I assume they decided to play for the U16 or left the club which is also there choice.
If they did not trial then how do you select them if they did trial then right or wrong the coach did not pick them but they now have a new coach who appears to be very good so lefe will go on.
Dont worry all enquire tonight and try to find out why they were not selected so I can get my facts right.
