Been to Naples many times and stayed with a couple of different families. Never once did I get the feeling they feel "oppress". Do you know anything about the Naps? To be honest, my father moved to Australia as a kid and his father only knew about work, so no influences at all sporting wise. My father played for Adelaide Juventus and followed Juve after that as the club was his only sporting influence and he past it onto me. I remember him singing Juve songs as I grew up so naturally it was the first club I ever heard of and seeing my father was my hero as a kid I supported JUVE, and your story may well have some similarities as your more then likely supporting Napoli as your father introduced you to his sporting love.
Don't get me wrong old mate I love the passion of the Naps and how they support happily a winning side but still turn up all be it angrily to support a losing side. Not many sides have that level of commitment from their fans and seeing my wife is a nap I'm often left to be the lone voice to support Juve at family event's so have developed a quick tongue and a passion for giving better then I receive as my family don't live in Adelaide. Try fighting on your own, it builds a different type of passion, one that is often
ready for the impending fight and I guess that is why I'm often on the front foot when it comes to the Napoli/Juve rivalry, no offence intended, but dish it if I do by all means.
