I admit I'm biased but i far prefer watching the more physical and faster game that is the English game.
PLUS, I don't like dour defensive football that is Seria A. If that doesn't get some bites then nothing will
stats show that over the past seasons Serie has the highest number of goals amongst the big 3 leagues in world football - more than La Liga or the EPL

even bundesliga is quite good to watch, on setanta

milanista, if u said Seria A is most entertaining, why ppl choose EPL over seria A ?? Why the TV Coverage not airing the Seria A , instead they choose to airing 'less entertaining' football which is EPL ?? u knob

you guys are all trippa's i agree with diegom who cares this topic has been done to death all it is is the ppl who support italian teams getting on here saying italian football is better blah blah blah and then the epl followers getting on here and doing the same every one is just being biased like i said IMO the leagues are pretty on par with each other there has been players that have succeeded in the epl and failed in the serie A and then there has been players that have succeeded in italy and failed in the epl just watch what you like and who cares what all the know it alls think and what league they think is better
I speak nothing but the truth
classic, absolute fucking classic.97 wrote:I'd say 99% of people that bag Serie A have never watched more than a dozen Serie A games in their life, let alone follow a season.
The only thing EPL has over Serie A is better picture quality and more TV exposure through the Commonwealth.
Gap isn't as big as it used to be, the EPL by far have more finances than Serie A of late, Man City spent bigger than Inter last summer.
Liverpool & Man U put together probably close to what the whole Serie A spent.
However Serie A is better because we have less Englishmen playing....for now anyway

I have to admit that the Italian game is certainly superior to the English game when it comes to the technical and tactical side.
You only have to look at the Champion's league last year to see that.
But the English game is better to watch if you like 'wham, bamm, thankyou maam' football.
The fans are the major reason for this difference - Italian fans like to see their teams play good football where the ball is played out of defence and openings are created by passing and interplay before a strike is launched - English fans prefer to see a faster, nore physical game where the ball is moved from defence to attack as quickly as possible.
The Germans and Dutch play a game somewhere between them.
As for interclub rivalry - players rarely share the same feelings as supporters because the game is their living, not their passion.
You would have no problem moving to an employer in competition with your own if they offered you more money, etc, would you? - so don't expect players to be 'loyal' to your club.

FOOTBALL IS LIFE - The Rest Is Just Details
You might well have to explain that to me. With 75% of the finalists being English. All the English sides won their groups. Don't see how it shows the italian superiority.Fred Goldstone wrote:You only have to look at the Champion's league last year to see that.

As for loyalty. that's dead in this world. Sheringham is the greatest example of that. So far he has admitted to supporting 4 different teams as a kid. Millwall, spurs, man ure and west scum. He goes where the money is. I can't wait until he admits that he's always supported Perth Glory as a kid.
I see the point about employers but no money in the world could make me wear a west scum shirt. BUT my mate who was a professional with Gillingham, openly admits to hating football and it's JUST A JOB!!

that makes no difference 3 of the 4 semi finalists were englishFred Goldstone wrote:But who won it? The Italian team!
one of the italian sides got knocked out conceding 9 goals in the proccess oh they must be better
and it was an english team that milan barely beat in the final any way
if you like bringing it back to the champions league what country has had a team in the final the past 3 years england
so i dont see how you can say italian football is so much better
I speak nothing but the truth
There will be no mentioning of that. I swear that game was rigged!!! Rigged I tells ya!!!The one and only wrote:that makes no difference 3 of the 4 semi finalists were englishFred Goldstone wrote:But who won it? The Italian team!

So Hawksey, if an employer came to you and said i have a job for you its an extra 10K a year more than what you are earning but you have to wear a uniform [West Ham shirt] you'd say no?
For an extra 10k a year I'd even wear an Arsenal shirt to work if that what it took.......I'd be thinking of my family and future before how stupid i'd look in a uniform.

Why would I wear that shirt for a mere 5% pay rise?Ted from Taperoo wrote:So Hawksey, if an employer came to you and said i have a job for you its an extra 10K a year more than what you are earning but you have to wear a uniform [West Ham shirt] you'd say no?

personally, im split on this somewhat irrelavant decision, even tho my heart sways just that lil bit towards EPL cause im half english. BUT! that will never take me away from loving Serie A. im a soccer nut, and have fav teams from many countries. i could never say that one is better than the other out of the two, when the budesliga and the Spanish league are up there too, like every league theyt have theyre ups and downs that everyone has pointed out.
after watchin Serie A and supporting Fiorentina for about 5years now, ive come to learn that the Serie A aint so defensive as everyones says it is, if anything its not so played in the midield, its that in the Serie A team can go from defence to attack in the blink of an eye, and people are mislead to believe that that is defensive. Serie A is very very skillfl too, if you want to watch a player burn another every game, then watch the serie A. on the other hand you have EPL, which has the upperhand in 1-touch ability and of course long range efforts, not to mention where even the little teams can make theyre game a headliner. its impossible to say that some suppoerters are more passionate than others, its just what stadium security allow the supporters to do. just cause there are streamers and flairs in italy doesnt make them more passionate about theyre team than an engishman about his football team.
both leagues have shit loads to offer, as the saying goes 'each to theyre own' which offers peoples opinions swayed by theyre hearts and passions to drive the game further and further into the future.
thank f.u.c.k.. the lord invented this wonderful game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but Super Pippo Inzaghi's finishing is top class it shows that poms are scared of the worlds best goal poacher and can't handle him cracking through their shit defence. Italians have more quality goals & gameplay EPL is just boring same old stuff everyweek. The one and only wrote:that makes no difference 3 of the 4 semi finalists were englishFred Goldstone wrote:But who won it?
